Wicked shot miss! I'd think an against all odds love story gone wrong type thing for a back story. Like her parents hated him and tried to kill him and he fought back just to be betrayed by his love to get him in a particular place and time for a demonic sacrifice. (run-on sentence much?) Or something...... Balls.
