Forty Six and Two - Tool
The thumbscrew, or pilliwinks, is a torture instrument which was first used in medieval Europe. It is a simple vice, sometimes with protruding studs on the interior surfaces. The victim's thumbs or fingers were placed in the vise and slowly crushed. The thumbscrew was also applied to crush prisoners' toes, while larger, heavier devices based on the same design principle were applied to destroy knees and elbows.
This torture was extremely painful and usually forced out confessions of the victim.

I totally thought this was real, but i looked a bit closer and i believe(correct me if im wrong) that there is some wax or something of that sort on the top of the thumb that the nails is in...not sure though...great pic btw :3

Yes it is a screw from a PC case, it was the only one small enough for me to attach to my thumb successfully.
The other screws are from an antique table.

Worst thing with a screw is that you can't pull it out, you have to unscrew it. Ouch.
