Description
I let my mind and my body imprison me
I pushed my limits to the sickening heights
and I can feel my heartbeat's pressure on the back of my eyes
The drip of the faucet
And the warmth of your thighs ...
Limiter - Machines Of Loving Grace
That, folks, is a saw. That saw is sharp. That saw hurt me and I didn't even push it very hard anywhere that was soft and vulnerable, I merely picked it up.
I've been meaning to do something like this since I created
.
I feel the desaturation and lighting in both heightens the experience because not all things which are frightening are dark or bloody.
~
I've been setting up for a larger shoot but I think some of the prop shots are cool. Hence the double upload.

well, as you know, the initial one was what got me started on your work and as soon as i saw this one it immediately reminded me of Heres Looking at You. however, i think your face should have shown through a little better. your expression, to me, seems to be a little faded (no pun intended) i just find it to be lost in the saw, even though it is the main focus of the picture, your face, and that feeling of fear/doom/dread what ever it may be isnt 100% clear in this image. BUT i do still like it. i like your Less Is More attitude lately. your work is definately improving each time
i'm very glad to have stumbled apon you

Thank you for the comment. I agree, though sadly, it's very hard to reproduce that same kind of lighting situation when you use natural lighting in most of your work, so the flat, faded look - couldn't be helped. Since I also take pictures of myself, this angle was tricky and I'll have to revisit it, I think, using a model *rubs hands together* because that way I can really clearly show that they are about to get their brain extracted. Muahahahhaa.

Great focus! Like a lot of your wonderful work, it leaves just enough for the imagination to go wild. (Sorry if that didn't make sense. I'm tired.)

You're welcome. I hear you on that, natural lighting can be tricky to use effectively but it certainly always is the best.

This frightens me far worse than most of the bloody stuff. Makes me scared of all the possibilities that saw can have....

I just wish it was one of those awesome obvious saws, and not this kind - this kind would look better if you could see the entire thing so it's more obvious
