I'm back! Hooray!
Now - remember, I am not a landscape, wildlife, waterscape or anything outdoors photographer. But I had to share this before I went to bed.
This was the morning fog rolling in off the mountains onto the Shuswap Lake in Sicamous, British Columbia. Actually, it's not fog, it's the clouds. Our elevation was fairly high, it felt as if we were on top of the world.
Not every morning was like this though - just this one in particular. The rest were gray, dreary and kind of soggy.
Anyhow - it looks like a forest fire

It was really mesmerizing BEING there - it's like you're a tiny pebble in a huge fishbowl, just staring up. We were at a high elevation, so those were really clouds and not fog - really makes you feel small.

That looks absolutely mindblowing! I've only ever seen fog like this once and it scared the living shit out of me (I had been eating mushrooms at the time).

I agree, fog and mushrooms do not mix - I've had a various experience when I was younger with that very thing, except there was also a pack of dogs involved. To this day I have absolutely no idea where they came from..

Thank you. It was truly a sight, for sure - if I could have done a panoramic, it would have been like being inside a bowl of whipping cream, for we were surrounded by mountains, and all of them were just covered by clouds
