Keep in mind the closest star besides our sun is over 4 light years away. That star is being studied and no life can possible live in the planets near it. Thus, if aliens visited us in our ancient past (when the universe was 14.9 billion years old, and it took at least 3 billion years to create the first stars, and thus another few billion years for planets that have the heavy metals made by dead stars...) That means...

Aliens many light years away through evolution made it to be beings that could travel the speed of light in only a few million years (that is really hard to evolve that fast) and they stayed in a ship for several years to go to Earth, then leave, and they just happened to do this at the time of early humans that is very unlikely seeing as we are very young compared to our earth, in fact, we barely make up a few percentage points of the human time on earth compared to dinosaurs or bacterial times.
