Description
There he was,Standing in my dreams.
As though he had been forever in my mind.
There I was,
Unable to break the glass that separated us.
He smiled
I cried
He faded
I stayed
He loved
I lost
And the pain tore through me,
Like I had never felt pain before.
As if it was some alien thing.
I fell, and wept, and died inside,
Never moving, save for the shaking.
I lay there, unable to be without him.
Unable to try without him.
And it was dark.
I was blind
I shook, I cried, I pleaded to the darkness;
Return him
But now answer came. Nothing.
I screamed,
I woke.
New pain tore through me.
Not for having lost him,
But for only ever having known him
In my dreams.
