"Well it's a four round tournament and it's round three. Pretty soon we'll get to the final battle and find out who wins!"

"Another round, another Story righT? Well...almOst. Something seems to be amiss this round as halfway thrOugh the STory, the Pairings suddenly swaP stories! How did that happen? Can your characters handle the sudden change of environment? And how on earth do you end a story when you don't know how it started!?

*In this round you will have to write the first half of the story using your matchup's prompt and the second half in the other matchup's prompt!
*Come up with any explanation you'd like for the swap! The Narrator? A character? Something else entirely?
*You're not required to address what the other matchup is doing in your story either. You're welcome to if desired but the focus is on your matchup first and foremost!
*Also, don't worry about how the other matchup is using their prompt. There's no need to match your second half to their first.
*Still confused? GOOD! Feel free to ask for clarification if needed.

*Information about the Void, The Narrator and The Buttons work can be found in our F.A.Q and in the reference sheets of the gallery.
*Remember! You need to push the button at the story's heart to get out! Otherwise...hm...I forget what happens to those left in the stories. Probably isn't important.
*Take some time to read up on your opponent's character(s). We'll be judging how well you write their and your character(s) interacting.
*While genre breaking, forth-wall shattering and other hijinks is encouraged, don't make your story unrecognizable to the prompt.
*We really want to see your take on your on the characters and setting so be careful taking ideas from your opponent.
*Take advantage of your genre! Sappy drama, thrilling action, nail-biting suspense and the like.
*Don't procrastinate! You never know what might happen in that last week you planned to finish.
*Remember the three checks! Spell check! Grammar check! Fact check!
