I really felt in love with this shot at first sight.
There are lots of shots of some nice little cute creatures here on DA but this one stands out for me for the number of reasons.
The Capture itself is quite a hard one to get - the mouse on the road not surrounded by any kind of grass or leaves where it could hide.
The light is totally amazing ( i suppose the setting sun). it gives me the atmospere of getting into some nothern fairy tale!
That's why perhaps it took me some time to understand that the background is asphalt. It really doesn't look like just asphalt road to me.
And as it is (read in the author's reply) the shot is precious because the author noticed this beautiful moment. many people would just pass by and see nothing.
And also i like the diagonal composition here. Though i usually don't like the shots where the object is in the centre and the shots where the horizon isn't horizontal in this very case the combination of those two and the very good focus gave the incredible result!

I'm surprised that you manage to stay at an angle from where it isn't even noticing you...the light too is a beautiful touch , with you being that close in photography to the mouse is very inspiring
