Description

The R2 is a family of intermediate caliber auto-loading rifles chambered for the 6.5x42mm cartridge. It is the standard issue weapon of the Newlandian military, mostly replacing the R1 high caliber battle rifles. The rifle features polymer buttstock, pistol grip, and handguard along with rails that allow users to mount various attachments to suit their needs, such as optics, foregrips, illumination devices, and underbarrel weapons.

Several variants of the R2 rifle were made to fulfill different roles:

+ R2 - The base rifle. It has an overall length of 864mm (34") with a 450mm (17.7") long barrel.

+ R2C - A carbine variant measuring 734mm (28.9") overall with a 320mm (12.6") long barrel.

+ R2P - Marksman variant with a built-in bipod, free-floating barrel, and a sniping buttstock.

+ R2A - Automatic rifle variant. Can feed from either belted ammunition or box magazines.
