Ace Combat Zero fan art.Solo-wing Pixy in Ace Combat Zero has a back-story that was not explicitly discussed.
During a mission, the F-15 he pilots has its right wing blown off. Despite of the damage, Pixy still managed to complete the sortie with one wing, and managed to bring the damaged plane home to safety.
This backstory was somehow inspired by Israeli Air Force's F-15 training exercise accident, where an F-15 had a mid-air collision which took out its right wing. The IAF pilot managed to land the one winged plane back to safety. So yea
Anyway, too much babbling.

Most of the Air Combat games i play it is possible to fly with one wing. Its not easy but its possible.

beautiful colors and textures. The sky and perspective are amazing. I love the selection of clouds and the detail of the planes. Looks great and awesome. Love the energy in the piece as well.

I remember that news story with the F-15 with one wing. Pretty incredible aircraft. I'm hoping that the government considers the F-15 Silent Eagle as a potential alternative to the F-35.

Yeah Well he's had his share of goin home without wings lol I couldn't resist. Beides the incident with the Israeli F-15 I read about an American F-15 in Gulf War I who lost part of his left wing during a dogfight with an Iraqi MiG, but still managed to zap the bandit and get home

ok.. the F-15 is the 2n gen of fly by wire jets... to make this realistic with the wing blown off... left aileron has to be up to counter the torque of the remaining wing the UHTs have to be in a left bank to counter the wing..
I have seen an F/A-18 go through the same thing.
