Description
I like the game and I like it's style. The only weird this is that Robin's team made such a mediocre menu design. There were many attempts to recreate menus with the glory the game cares, mine included. I present a new one. This time it's an ultimate re-imagination of TF2 loading screen.Features included:
- Old statistics reappeared in a new form with selected stats separated for each team, so you can track your performance as you play BLU and as you play RED.
- Old "best of best" info panel replaced with class specific with random class appearing each time. There's a sketch (my done poorly with filtered screenshot from Model Viewer) of the class, probably from pre-release sketches, some of which we see from time to time. There's also a moment for shame: a killcam took by you or automatically when you had your best chance and died. In Medic's case it may be "Dr. Nooo" requirement: death with ubercharge ready to be deployed.
- Bottom left is full of coffee stains and information of the upcoming map. Screenshot is the same that you see in Server Browser in Map View. So, if there's no image, there'll be a huge question mark.
- Bottom right is loading status panel with progress bar inspired by Dead Ringer and loading information pictured as decrypted stenography. No, we are not the Spy
Overall, I tried to recreate something you saw many times in other games: loading screen with dozens of stuff placed in chaos to represent work environment.
Oh, and I didn't really figure out what to do with the background, so I left it like that for now. I welcome any suggestions

UPD *Updated this image a bit. Less bright, worked on the tone, changed time stats from float to timestamp, several smaller changes*

This is fantastic! So much better than the current loading screen, and it matches the feel of the game so well. As far as the background, I could see just a wooden texture like it's sitting on a desk somewhere, since this is personnel file style. In fact, you could put a manilla envelope open behind the papers to unify the screen while keeping the sections segmented. Awesome job!

For sure! I actually like your design way better than the new menu.
