Description As the need for public transit increases due to growing concerns over climate change and the greater need to conserve on fuel while still awaiting a mass transition to renewable sources of energy, the need to expand local bus networks is quite necessary.  The Niagara Region in Ontario is no exception.  Now, currently, there are some intensive bus services that run hourly between the three main cities of the region (Saint Catharines, Niagara Falls and Welland) with branch routes to Port Colborne and Fort Erie.  However, the whole west of the region is left virtually uncovered save for a public ride-share agreement covering places such as Grimsby, Lincoln and elsewhere.

This, put frankly, is wrong and needs to be addressed.

Thus, I devised both a local and express service connecting Saint Catharines bus station with the Casablanca Boulevard Park & GO stop in the western part of Grimsby, connecting various points in both Grimsby and Lincoln.

Route 10 (light blue/eastbound)/Route 15 (light blue/westbound)
This route would generally follow old Highway 8 from Casablanca GO to the Saint Catharines bus terminal, with the following stops along the way:

Casablanca GO Station - 362 South Service Road at Casablanca Boulevard, Grimsby
Grimsby Town Hall/Farmer's Market - 163 Livingstone Avenue, Grimsby
Grimsby VIA Station - 99 Ontario Street, Grimsby
Nelles Road at Main Street - 127 Main Street East, Grimsby
Grimsby Beach - 45 Bartlett Avenue at South Service Road, Grimsby
Ontario Street Park and GO - 4955 South Service Road east of Ontario Street, Lincoln
Beamsville GO Station - 4620 Ontario Street, Lincoln
Fleming Centre - 5020 Serena Drive, Lincoln
Merritt Road at King Street - 4107 Merritt Road, Lincoln
Vineland GO Station - 4290 Victoria Avenue, Lincoln
Victoria Avenue at King Street - 3888 Victoria Avenue, Lincoln
Balls Falls Conservation Area - 3292 Sixth Avenue Louth, Lincoln
Jordan Historical Museum - 3852 Main Street, Lincoln
Jordan GO Station - 2786 Prince William Street, Lincoln
Seventh Street at Fourth Avenue - 1678 Fourth Avenue Louth, Saint Catharines
Saint Catharines Hospital - 1977 First Street Louth, Saint Catharines
Saint Catharines VIA/GO Station - 92 Great William Street, Saint Catharines
Saint Catharines Bus Terminal - 11 Academy Street, Saint Catharines

The total one-way trip would take one hour and 18 minutes (as shown via Google Maps), so I would propose this be an hourly service, departing on the hour from Saint Catharines and arriving at Casablanca 80-85 minutes later depending on traffic.  Departures from Casablanca back to Saint Catharines should be staggered on the half-hour, starting thirty minutes before first departure from the latter terminal.  Currently, the weekday and Saturday runs go from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM, so have their departures from Saint Catharines every hour on the hour while departures from Casablanca can go from 6:30 AM to 9:30 PM.  Niagara Region Transit has no Sunday or holiday service at this time.

Route 10A (dark blue/eastbound)/Route 15A (dark blue/westbound)
The express service would run along the Queen Elizabeth Way, partially reflecting GO Transit's local bus service but with more stops.  The following stops are envisioned west to east:

Casablanca GO Station - 362 South Service Road at Casablanca Boulevard, Grimsby
Ontario Street Park and GO - 4955 South Service Road east of Ontario Street, Lincoln
Prudhommes Landing - 3345 North Service Road, Lincoln
Jordan Harbour - 2722 North Service Road, Lincoln
Fairview Mall Park and GO - 25 YMCA Drive, Saint Catharines
Saint Catharines Bus Terminal - 11 Academy Street, Saint Catharines

This would definitely be an hourly service; travel time from Casablanca GO to Saint Catharines Bus Terminal THIS way takes a minimum of 40 minutes.  Departure times would be hourly from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM at both terminus locations weekdays and Saturdays.

As for the GO Lakeshore West train service, there's no planned stations for Vineland and Jordan, but I see them eventually coming.  Beamsville GO is definitely to be constructed, as is Grimsby GO, but the latter's location is up in the air, so I site it as Casablanca GO by the bus stop.
