Description
Shelby lead the large mare to pasture so she could graze, and so Shelby could get a better look at her. Once Shelby took off M's halter, the mare cantered across the field. She settled for a nice patch of grass and started to nibble on it. Shelby was staring at her intensely trying to find another explanation for the mare's sudden weigh gain, any explanation for that matter.She can't be pregnant. When she's not in her stall, she's only in pasture with other mares. Shelby was baffled. She thought it could have been a neighboring stallion that got loose. They had a few neighbors with horses. The thing that Shelby was most afraid of was telling Sage, her boss. When Sage found out that would be the end for Shelby. This mare was their only active race horse and Sage had high hopes for the mare.
Please don't let her be pregnant Shelby pleaded.

I know a few horses like that. At the barn there is an old mare who looks pregnant, but she's just fat. Sometimes little kids will ask if she's pregnant
