I got a question for you ! Black horses are my weakness, how do you go about deciding what color to pick so that way you can still see the lines ?

Me too! Blacks and seal bays are my weakness.
To start I never use pure black for a horse's base coat. Then when I shade and line I usually use a dark red or dark red-brown color. I think that contrast helps bring out the lines
