Description 1. Pick a character, pairing, or fandom you like.
2. Put iTunes or equivalent media player on random.
3. For each song that plays, write something related to the theme you picked inspired by the song. You have only the time frame of the song: no planning beforehand: you start when it starts, and no lingering afterward; once the song is over, you stop writing. (No fair skipping songs either; you have to take what comes by chance!)
4. Do 5 of these, then post.

My Topic: Random Characters Of Mine/House M.D.

1. Hello Alone - Anberlin

He walked slowly along the sidewalk rimming the small town, his brown hair falling lightly over his eyes. He was dry, unlike the rest of the world around him. Pale, dull. Grey. That’s what described the world. Grey.

His icy eyes scanned the area ahead of him. No one was out. He was alone, as far as he could tell.

But he knew he was alone.

He knew the place he was at – he had made sure he came here at this exact time, the exact day, the exact year it happened. He never showed anyone this place, he never took anyone back. He feared they couldn’t handle the secret this world held.

The strange, strange world that filled up around him, suffocating him. Engulfing him with the grey. Grey sky, grey grass, grey flowers.

But he liked it.

2. I Am – Hilary Duff

She wasn’t like she appeared.

Her blonde hair trailed down past her shoulders, falling ontop of her light blue tank top she wore every once in a lifetime, it seemed. Her golden-brown eyes sparkled confidently as she glanced towards the other students in the school – casting flirtatious glances at the boys, while shooting down the girls carelessly.

Cocky and confident. That’s how many would describe her.

But they’d also say she was an angel.

She seemed to glow. She seemed pure, almost innocent at times. People would seem to forget about her cocky stares, her hearbreaking abilities, and see her as something else.

Something untrue. Fake.

One knew what she was really like. He knew she wasn’t an angel. He knew her heartbreaking ways. And he knew…

He knew she was a devil.

3. House M.D. Theme Song – The Global Stage Orchestra

Quietness filled the area around him. He was in…

A HOSPITAL.

The words echoed throughout the walls. They were like drugs. Like House’s drugs. Like his vicodin he took almost carelessly.

And then he heard it.

It was a song.

Only it wasn’t just any song.

It was House’s theme song.

Where was it coming from? Why was it playing?

How the bass hurt his ears! Crap, now they were bleeding, too! Quick, get a doctor! Get a doctor!

4. Home - Daughtry

Ashur glanced back at what he used to call home. In it’s place stood a house, one he could barely recognize. He knew his family lived there, but it felt as though he had never been apart of them.

He knew his mom was in there, his father, too. His brothers, his sisters.

But something just didn’t feel right about it, and he knew why. He didn’t exactly want to leave, but he knew he had to. A few months ago, Ashur would have taken any opportunity he had to get away from that place, but never got the chance to even try. And now that he wanted to stay, it seemed like he had to leave.

Letting out a sigh, Ashur turned around to face the path ahead of him. It would be a long one, he knew that, but he had friends to help him through. Friends who had been through a lot more than he had. He knew they wouldn’t know what to do in every situation, but he knew they could help.

Taking one quick glance back at the house, Ashur began his journey into the unknown...

5. Letters From War – Mark Schultz

The toddler’s smile was big as she ran through the grassy field, her two brothers by her side. Nothing could stop her – she was free in the meadow, it was the place she felt the safest. She knew that her parents would be back at the house, waiting for her. Maybe with cookies and milk, if she were lucky. She never wanted to leave this moment…

Kyan opened his eyes, looking towards his sister. She had changed so much. No longer did she feel safe near him, no longer did they play games in a meadow like they used to. When she arrived home, there was no mother or father to greet her. Only foster parents.

Kyan knew how much she missed them, how much she hated Kyan for what he did to them. He was the reason they were dead – he and his sister knew that, and as much as he didn’t want to believe it, Kyan knew it was true. He just hoped that maybe, one day, Ravyn would accept him again. And it would feel like home.
