Description
Name: Bonnie HwitelyRace/Species: German Shepherd
Gender: Female
Age: 22
DOB: June 17
Appearance: Bonnie is a pure white german shepherd. With long, thick hair flowing down her back and around her shoulders, she gives off an aura of calm and serenity. She always looks tired and is almost always smiling, her mouth being long, with a black nose at the very end. Her blue eyes help to make her seem more innocent, not that it's needed, and her floppy ears only add to it. In general, she is very unthreatening in appearance, and it's not only despite her size, but it also plays a part of her being so unthreatening. She's big, at only 1.68 meters tall, she's a heavy 147.15 kg, large with a somewhat bell-shaped figure. Her thick, fluffy tail extends behind her at all times, poking through a hole in most pants or dresses she wears. She's a puppy, looking almost like a dangerously overstuffed toy you'd make at Build-A-Bear workshop.
Personality: Bonnie tends toward pacifism. She doesn't want to hurt anyone, and even when it's inevitable that someone will be hurt, she doesn't get into the fighting itself, she acts more in the background, helping her brother. Shy and uncomfortable around new people, she is quiet, but she is very knowledgeable and has a plethora to say if anyone wants to hear it, and especially if they need help with something she is knowledgeable on. She is insecure about her appearance but is in an odd position where that insecurity only seems to make it worse. She isn't an insomniac like her twin brother, but she always looks tired, loves coffee(especially espresso coffee and mocha cappuccinos), and is addicted to sweets, as rare as they were back on her home planet. She is very emotional, quick to upset and hates seeing others feeling bad around her, even if they are on the opposing side to her group. Bonnie wants to keep people's spirits up, keep everyone happy, safe, and most important, keep the peace. She's a responsible young woman who's wise beyond her years, but a bit too immature for her age and is prone to regression when forced into a stressful situation.
Backstory/Bio: Born only a year before the apocalypse, she was spared only because she was a toddler who had just gotten her cybernetic implants. Because of the apocalypse-by-attempted-genocide, not many survived, including most adults who could have served as a guardian figure to the still living children. Raised by the few scientists of the experiment left from the world's destruction, eventually at the age of 13, Xaoc and Bonnie began trying to raise themselves like a few of the other younger survivors did as the scientists were growing weary with raising so many kids. Only a city's worth of people survived the apocalypse-by-attempted-genocide and those people were almost forced into a dull, dark livelihood as they tried to stay happy and living. Xaoc was overprotective of his sister. Many kids also found the stress hard to deal with, and radiated it as aggression, picking Bonnie as an easy target. Xaoc, unsure of what to do or how to help her when they turned antagonistic toward his sister, began trying to alleviate the stress through the means of food - one of the only stress-relievers he knew still worked in this world. It was also easy to come by for him, given he was self-appointed the 'protector' of the last city, a title people only held up when it served them. He was tasked with getting resources and making sure no one else gets inside, and getting the resources was what made helping Bonnie so much easier.
However, this eventually led to her larger figure as all extras Xaoc got from his trips went to her. With nothing much to do but sleep in this dead world, and eating almost double the amount of a normal kid in her time, her weight skyrocketed. Even when Xaoc realized what he was doing wasn't really helping, it had already become a habit for both of them. It would help Bonnie for a short while, then the stress would come back, and he'd go for the resources again. He got into many fights over Bonnie when people tried to keep Xaoc and her from the food(despite him being the one collecting it for them), and though Bonnie tried to keep the violence down, Xaoc basically became her 'white knight', supporting her odd behaviors because she was his sister, and it was his job to protect her no matter what. This led to his quick aggression, which once again only added to her stress. It was a sick cycle, one that was only ended by the hope of escape.
Many of the younger kids, brothers and sisters of Bonnie and Xaoc's cruel peers, had been passing rumors heard from one of the oldest scientists of a project that was going on alongside Project SOMA. They always described it as a spaceship, a rocket, or a UFO, and were constantly asking Xaoc, who they considered a brave individual that they looked up to, to show them.
It was a perfect revenge - Xaoc would be able to punish all of those who wronged him and his sister in such a fitting way. He'd be taking their brothers and sisters from them. Of course, he doubted this decision, but when he realized there wouldn't be many repercussions for it since they'd be too far to even communicate with, let alone be punished by the people back at home, and feeling he could take care of these kids alongside his sister, he went through with it. Eventually, after hiding the kids while getting Bonnie to come with him to the Clockwork Carnival, the factory powering the final city and the original lab where the experiment that resulted in genocide occurred, they got to the ship with all the resources they could carry with them and left.
Bonnie was not appreciative of the kidnapping at all, as any normal person wouldn't be, but it was too late. They had many mouths to feed now, and Bonnie began to feel like Xaoc had doomed them to space. However, after touching down on the planet's space colony, those worried had started drifting away. Xaoc then continued his travels using the space city as his ship, much more living space than any of them needed, necessarily. Now, with slightly more than a city's worth of resources for them all to survive on, Bonnie lives alongside the children and her brother, exploring the galaxy with him and the... still kidnapped children.
Attire: Bonnie frequently wears small, light blue coats over pink shirts, and prefers skirts over pants. Her old tennis shoes have a simple design on them, colored a light orange and white. She has a blue bow at the top of her coat where it acts as a button to attach the top part together. Finally, she has a magenta poppy corsage in her hair, above and slightly to the left of her left eye.
Class: Wiccan
Gear:
Devil's Tuning Fork: Amplifies her abilities through sound by doubling their effects(The Barrier will last for 4 turns and the Heal Spell will extend up to 10 meters, when using this weapon) and acts as an extension to her minor technomancy that resulted from her cybernetics(Most machines are weak to the Devil's Tuning Fork). With it, if blinded in some way, she can smack it against the walls to use an echolocation-like ability. However, while effecting opponents as well, almost all canines will be temporarily stunned by the loud, high pitched noise it makes. (Special +6, 75 or below on d100 Paralysis toward all canine characters)
Skills/abilities:
Barrier: She can form a small barrier that lasts for approximately two turns and takes 1 point of Special when used. It blocks most energy attacks, though is destroyed by dark-elemental attacks, and all special and ranged attacks against the barrier heals one HP. Overheal is not possible from it. She has the potential to fire the Barrier as a laser that extends 1 meter, which automatically destroys it, but she rarely if ever uses it, and it costs 2 Special.
Heal Spell: Taking a turn to charge, she can fire a small beam of energy from her hands up to 5 meters to heal 2 HP per post outside of combat(Special is not considered here, so no Special loss), and 1 HP per post while in a combat situation, for 1 special. It has no limit on how long she can do this, though if someone gets out of range it will stop working and it requires a charge every time she wants to use it.
Machine Control: A shared ability with her brother and the kids, as well as most anyone who comes from their world. Bonnie has minor control over NPC robots and various forms of technology, capable of 'mental hacks'. If a door is locked with a code input, she can just switch it to automatically open for her, basically. This also means that she can manipulate their coding without much thought put into it, but she can only do it for about 2 turns. All people with her type of cybernetics also have AR when in the presence of a source of internet and can see other people's AR systems. On the ship, these AR systems can be seen even by people without the cybernetics due to the entire city technically being a holodeck(they appear to those without cybernetics as very 'realistic' looking holograms).
