Personality: Maya is a rather calm individual. The silent type, she doesn't speak much unless excited over something for one reason or another, usually over a book or book series she's been reading, though not always. She takes her job very seriously and yet feels like she isn't taking her job seriously enough, always thinking of ways to improve Tristitia in her mind as she has been the most active with lawmaker requests among the four rulers. She is quick to judge others but also quick to forgive, feeling everyone can be good if they just try, and going out of her way to prove it. She's a wondrous and curious individual, but practical. Maya loves to read, loves honey, cooking, eating, and strives to make her country the best she can while she's got a hand in shaping its future. She hates egotistical people who flaunt themselves around her, people who try and spread the hate for the opposite Tristitian groups, being "railroaded"(forced onto a path she didn't intend due to "help" she didn't ask for), and has a fearful respect of the Nightmares. Though she doesn't hate the Nightmares, she wants to keep them as far away from her as possible. She also heavily dislikes graveyards due to the ghosts that would hang around there, and dark areas, as her being big AND a living light-bulb attracts a lot of attention.

Picture/Description: Maya is a Kursamo, a Human-Bear Hybrid, and though her general appearance is human, she has bear ears from her head, a small stubby tail like a bear that is usually covered by her blue shorts, and is about as strong as a bear though very chubby. When not participating in a special event, whatever that special event may be, she normally wears a green shirt with a rather tight, lighter green hoodie over it at all times. The hoodie's fringe at the bottom are white zig-zags over a black background. She's got green shoes, eyes are brown, long-flowing hair brown, and she's got pretty dark tan skin.

Background/History: Ayla Maya Garcia was born to Callista. Callista died during the process of giving birth to Maya, who is raised by the royal adviser, who takes her place as ruler until Maya is 13 years old, Arthur Rayport. Maya begins private school in Tantibus around the age of 5. At the age of 8, she begins learning about her duties as princess and possibly future queen, alongside private school, from Arthur. Arthur acts as her mentor for ruler alongside his duties as temporary-king. She isn't taught much fighting, but she is given her mother's ladle. Around the age of 10, Maya goes along with Arthur to a meeting with her political rivals Phoebe, Xaoc, and the King and Queen of Johen. She feels something wrong with the Johenian members of the meeting and that that odd feeling came from Xaoc, and unironically, she's utterly terrified of Phoebe. After not speaking for the entire meeting in fear of embarrassment, Arthur suggests he speaks in her favor and offers his service to aid her in diplomatic endeavors when needed for the sake of not stalling any future meetings and for Maya's sake. With an agreement made, during the next meeting she does speak up a bit, but she continues letting Arthur help her out considering she still doesn't speak much. Maya discovers her supernatural abilities given to her by shockra, related to stardust and spirit. She doesn't have any aggressive abilities, though passive offensive and passive defensive abilities are included. At the age of 13 she becomes the true princess of Tantibus, but continues going to private school and being the student of Arthur, who now returns to his role as royal adviser. As Maya approaches the age of 16, she practices her special abilities more, and begins taking her position much more seriously for not only the sake of Tantibus, but also the entirety of Tristitia. She nears the age of 18 when she won't need her mentor anymore, but since he will still be her adviser she isn't worried. She's fought Xaoc and the King and Queen of Johen to pass laws relating to how furries and humans are treated and how they treat each other, and sort of won in the end, though she wants to finally end the racism, bigotry, and hatred among the country, even going as far as dealing with the nightmare camps within the Death Regions so that the Nightmares could be pleased and not attack the other cities as frequently. Generally, she is trying to help the country get on good ground, which is suppose to be the goal of all the rulers even though they are mainly focusing on their own cities as a first priority.

Powers/Abilities:
Little Dipper: Simply a small, black, wooden ladle covered by a black plastic to give it a more modern feel. It really just does small bits of damage, melee potshots, even with bear strength behind it. Surprisingly, it can't break, even though it's just a normal ladle.
Dream Walking: Passive; When sleeping, she always has out-of-body experiences, no control over it. Because of this, she doesn't frequently have actual dreams, but can exist outside of the body until her body is forced to wake up or until she re-enters her body.
Paranormal Vision: Passive; She can see and hear ghosts interacts with them.
Star-shine: Passive; In dark areas or when calm, her body begins glowing.
Hold: With Soul and Stardust power, she can slow down, hold down, or stop opponents for a single post. If they've got a shield, the shield has a high chance of breaking while this ability is in effect.
Star-shield: She forms a blue shield of stardust that orbits around her. The more star-shields, the more attacks she can take without heavy damage(or, if the attack was weak enough, without taking damage at all!) They intercept any ranged elemental attacks, though melee elemental attacks are usually weakened by the shields, not fully canceled out.
Stardust: Once activated, she is surrounded by a blue, warm light as her strength and speed increase. Theoretically, she could shoot stardust out of the Little Dipper only while this is activated, but she refuses to try since she's not a fighter anyways, and hasn't gained the ability to do so because of this.

Extra Information:
For Maya, I was going for a less offensive character, going with more passive or defensive abilities, considering as part-bear she was already very strong. In general, she's strong enough to lift just a bit more than 400 pounds. Though she's not fast, her defense/endurance is high. Stamina, separate from shockra energy, is pretty low however. She has no elemental weaknesses, though there are some pretty obvious weak-spots that most women share and you'd be kind of a jerk to hit in the first place. Taking note of that stamina, she has not trained her powers to the level of Xaoc, so her shockra energy average is very low as well. She's not a fighter, she's working to stop hatred, but if forced into it she will fight to protect herself, her friends, her city, and/or her country.
She was made within the span of about from a week to about 3 days, depending on what you mean by working on the character, and is based on Ursa Minor. Though she wouldn't angst about it, the original idea of the character was that she could use soul powers to see her dead mother, the Ursa Major, or that Ursa Major would be like a "Navi" figure that could shoot projectiles like that thing from "Ori and the Blind Forest", though eventually the feeling that she shouldn't be much of a fighter came around during an argument with a friend when it was suggested that all I ever do in RPs is fighting and battles. Maya's middle name/nickname came from a chubby otter character who was the basis of the original design of this Maya, though I eventually overhauled the design entirely. She was originally inspired by that Maya too, though it became it's own thing. She was originally going to have a save mechanic mimicking video games where saving the game is a feature, known as the "Save Box", but due to it being a time travel mechanic in-RP(and those NEVER WORK), it too was scrapped. A friend of hers, if not her best friend, in the G5 canon is the son of Arthur Rayport, James "Nine" Rayport, though Maya is yet to be introduced into either G4 or G5.
Her main theme is "Lockdown" by SharaX and her battle theme is "Alphys Takes Action" by Luke Neujahr.
