Description
I made this in Lightwave and put it together in Imageready CS2. Nice little thing, especially for a screen saver.Related content

All it needs is a circle above it and it will look amazingly like something I know! LOL

LOL. Bless!
The Earth symbol on Stargate.
Have a look at some of my Stargate images, I'm sure you'll be able to spot what I'm talking about.

You did something without me teaching you! Yay! Not bad. Anyway, move the pivot point a bit in Layout (there's a move pivot tool in the translate thing) because it looks a bit off center. Now, the next challenge shall be to render it as bumpy black glass (with a background image). Can you do it?

But, as I said, try to make an interesting surface for it. It'd be cool.

I could email you some surfaces... what kind of stuff do you want?
I've got the orange, shiny one, a red glass one like from the torus knot, a few good metallic ones, and a few cel-shaded ones. I could also make anything, pretty much. Just tell me.

Just email me all teh surfaces u got if you can... (like shove em all in a .zip file)

And I'll also teach you how to render something reflective/refractive with a nice HDRI background (here's an explanation of what HDRI is): [link]

At the top of the surface editor, there should be a Load button. Just click that and load your stuff.

Okay. Will try to do that.
How do i make a surface? (If i wanted to make a new custom one?)
That's probably a job for when you talk to me on AIM.. cause i'm slow with this lightwave program.. lol...

By opening the Surface Editor (top left in Layout or Modeler, or just press F5)

Alex, I know this is old, but you might want to turn on anti-aliasing (it smooths out jagged edges) for future Lightwave stuff. It's in camera properties.
