Description Well here it is! (Finally...) The answer to my queiry of "What is this?" on my previous deviation "Unique Silver Reflect Pattern" [link] .

As you can probably now see, this is a common table knife/butter knife. Even though this is not as much of a closeup as the last picture you can still see the pattern on it. These two images are proof that I'm a wierd photographer. LoL

The morning I took these I was fixing to wash dishes after I had seen my hubby off to work and reached in to pick up the knife I'd dropped in the sink after making his sandwich. I did a double-take when I saw the sink because there was this incredible pattern on it where the knife blade had touched it. I'm like...ok that's cool, so I turned the knife over and wouldn't you know, it looked even cooler than the sink! LoL So of course I carefully laid down the knife and went to get the camera. I probably took a total of 30 pictures of the knife blade in various positions and at different angles and came up with one I wanted to post on dA because I thought it might be fun.

Now you may still be wondering what exactly made the pattern on the knife. Well, the sink was a little wet when I dropped the knife in there, and it had some time to sit. So, the mayonnaise on the knife, the water in the sink and cosmic atmospheric conditions all worked together to create bubbles between the knife and sink. Naturally, water must dry/evaporate but mayonnaise doesn't, too oily. So guess what? With the water gone, but the mayonnaise still there, the pattern left by the bubbles was also still there.

Cool huh? Ok I know I'm just a crazy wanna-be photographer who has nothing better to do than take pictures of a butter knife with mayonnaise on it. But hey, makes life interesting..

I am not entirely sure...It's SO hard to recreate something that accidently happened...LoL I suppose anything is possible but for all I know I may have forgotten a detail. I'm still not 100% sure WHY the bubbles formed in the first place. LoL

Bubbles, bubble, bubbles... do I feel dumb. You had me SO stumped! Now I'll have to look for that the next time I wash dishes!

LoL Don't, it wasn't as easy I guess as I originally thought it might be. If I were in your shoes (well if I were I'd be wearing shoes right now, which I'm not...anyway) I wouldn't have gotten it either.

Maybe in my socks...I'm not much of a shoes fan either.
