Description A site where in horrible conditions, the British marched hundreds of starving peasants through this pass. In the stark winter conditions with no food, no water and scarce clothes, 300 Irish men, women and children died. In this valley is a simple but poignant gravestone, a memento and lament to those who perished under the cruel hand of the British. It's a beautiful valley, but mixed with sorrow and sadness.
