I was caught at first sight.
I didn't know you. We never spoke.
Things just sort of happened that way, as it turns out.

People can heal.
People can hurt.
It all depends on who you are I guess. Never really thought about it.
I'm not really sensitive or anything like that.
I just observe things. People. Life.

Then again, I am only one person, so there's not a lot that I can do.
It can get pretty lonely by yourself.
But I have no desire to be popular, or have a relationship with someone.
It's easier to be on your own.
Words are just words.

And everyone uses the words far too often.
You only tell me you love me when we fuck.
Afterwards, it's all a haze.
Like a high. Just, smaller.

I wanted to be like you.
Though, I wasn't sure what that would mean in the long run.
We're just simple beings.

We laugh. Cry. Swear...
All things the normal kids do..
People are like stars.
They fade away eventually.
Some we meet, some we don't.

I wanted to save you. I wanted to be someone you could count on.
Some kind of savior. Or a hero.

Silly little boy.
We only live once. It's true.
And we're defined by what we do.

It's unlikely. Maybe I'll never see a sunrise the way you do.
Though I can't help wondering what would happen if I did.
Would it change me?
