My head is ticking. And tocking.
It's counting repeatedly. Sometimes I feel like I'm on a bridge, dreaming. Of a world where equality was a right. And teens and young boys and girls didn't have to be afraid of the dark.
Where the monsters lurk, and we open the deep desires of our darkest hearts.
Ticking and tocking, and I stand here talking, like tomorrow something's gonna happen. Like I'm gonna leap off the ground and dive right into the real deal. The real problems that we all have, but are too afraid to speak and talk about.
Like how the world falls out of my pocket, and it's too cracked, so I can't make it whole again .
This is how we feel when you'll say that we'll do better. Because we're not good enough. And it's never good enough. It's not enough to lie, and break down, but you have to pull us down and remind us of our own insecuruties, and there are plenty.
Ticking and tocking and I'm standing in the Titanic, slowly sinking. I'm worried that I'll let out the beast that's caged inside me. Would it be enough to erase this bad, broken memory?
Or would it be enough, just to laugh. To take your hand in mine, and walk down the road together laughing. So we wouldn't have to be afraid of who was watching. Because God is in our footsteps. And here we are.. Walking down, erasing our frowns as we go.

So here we are..

At the edge of the world, dreaming of a place of acceptance and dignity, and grace..
Drowning slowly in a lake of bad karma and selfish flesh..

We were the ones that you forgot to forget..
And here we are..
