Why these words slip off your tongue without meaning. Why the world seems to suddenly come to a halting. And we're stuck, looking at our headstones. Our bodies turned to dust and all we can think of is is this how we lived?
How the world suddenly crashes and everything around you becomes lighter. A sense of wonder, full of life. But lies are led too. Though we do not follow. We simply fall into them.
And we wonder, if the future itself is a lie. Blinding our faith. And casting aside the shadows of loose clothing and bedside sheets.
Where love was once made. Where we swore to never let each other down. That love would be forever. An eternity.
But you let your lust crash into my breaking bones, as I shiver, and let down my tears.
As I shred away the lies, and the wonder.
Yes. We were fools too. Once.
But that one time was forever, stacked into a photo album of christmas cards and I love You's.
