This story takes place after Sonic adventure 2 battle

It's been some time after Sonic and Shadow saved the world, but while most celebrated, one didn't. Her name was Amy Rose. She often though about the moment Shadow made promise to her before rushing of to his final battle.

She sat on top of her house staring up at stars and moon thinking about the black hedgehog. When she first met him, she thought he was Sonic, but the look in his eyes seem so ... sad. As if he lost a large part of is heart. The more she thought about him the more she wondered.

Could he still be live? If so, where was he? How was he? And is he okay?

Many question went through her mind. One in particular was that he always called her 'Rose' instead of 'Amy'. She then stood up and sung a song from her heart

Amy got off her roof and went back inside. She got in her PJs and climbed into bed. As she slept, she thought about him more. The ultimate life form she came to know as Shadow the hedgehog.

Deep in an underground lab stood a pod. In this pod stood a curtain black hedgehog. Still recovering from his fall to Earth. In his unconscious state, his mind drifted. He saw himself running with a blond haired girl before she was shot and himself standing in front of a pink hedgehog before he ran off. Somehow he'd knew he'd meet one of them again.
