The next day at Sonic and Blaze's house

"Now Blaze calm down," Rouge said trying to get her friend to settle down.

"I can't! Sonic and the other are planning to kill me!" Blaze yelled franticly.

"I'm sure they didn't mean what they said," Amy suggested.

"We heard what they said!" Blaze yelled

"Look, why don't we invite them over tonight." Rouge suggested

"Good idea, rouge. That way we can see if we find out about this plan of theirs" Shade said

"I don't know girls" Blaze said worried.

"Don't worry. We'll be here to protect you if they try anything" Amy said.

"Okay"

Later that night

"Hey Sonic why don't we invite Shadow, Tails, Rouge and Knuckles over for dinner" Blaze said from the kitchen

Sonic who was on the couch watching TV turned to his wife and said, "Sure Blaze, I'll call them right now" Sonic ran over to the phone and started to dial the number.

"Hello?" a girl's voice answer.

"Amy?" Sonic asked.

"Speaking," Amy said.

"Hey it's Sonic. Listen Blaze wants to invite you guys over for dinner."

"Sure! We'll be right over!"

After a few minutes, Shadow, Amy, Tails, Knuckles, Shade, and Rouge came over.  Marine didn't come because she had something to do.  They all sat down and enjoyed the meal Blaze cooked. At the table, Rouge kept eyeing the guys if they try anything.

Suddenly she saw Shadow staring to reach to his side. Rouge looked closely and saw something that shocked her. A gun. Shadow brought a small one shot gun with him. Rouge looked at the others and saw they noticed it too. Shadow grabbed the gun and slowly got up. The women readied themselves if Shadow was about do something until…

"Baby I'm gonna go outside for a smoke" Shadow said. This caused all the girls to fall over.

"Shady, you told me you quit" Amy said getting up.

"I'm trying to. My doctor told me to smoke less and less. Right now, I'm on one per week.
Next week, I'm off for good." Shadow answered.

"Oh ok" Amy was both happy and relived. Happy Shadow was trying to quit for her and relived he didn't do anything serious.

Just as Shadow was about to leave the other guys got up. "We'll go with him to make sure its just one." Knuckles assured as they all left.

When they heard to door close, they girls gave a sigh of relief. "I almost felt like my heart stopped when I saw that gun." Blaze said

"I think that was just Shady's lighter. He told me he was going to throw it out" Amy said.

"Hey I got something we can use," Shade said.

"What is it?" rouge said curiously.

Shade pulled out a communicator out of her pocket. "I put a bug on Knuckles before we left.  With this we can listen in on them"

"Great idea." Blaze said as they all went to the living room. Shade turned on communicator and they listened in.

"Yeah I know right." They heard Sonic's voice.

"Hey guys, I've got something I want to tell you."  Shadow's voice said

"What is it?" Tails voice asked

"Amy and I are thinking of having a child. You know start a family."  Shadow said as Amy smiled.

"Shadow that's great!" knuckles said as they heard him pat Shadow on the back while on the other side the girls did the same to Amy.

"Yeah but I don't know if I'm ready to be a parent. I mean the closes I had was the professor and Maria. Plus I'm immortal." Shadow said in a sad voice.

Amy lowered her head when she heard this. Shadow had a point. He would stay the way he was while Amy and the kids get old and die.

"Actually Shadow I thought you might want to get rid of your immortality so I'm inventing a machine that can do just that," Tails said giving Shadow and Amy hope.

"Really!?"  Shadow asked.

"Really. I figured if we use all the emeralds and the master emerald it's possible. But it's not easy. I went through at least 20 explosions trying to get the thing to work already."  Tails said as the guys had a good laugh and a smile returned to Amy face.

There was a short silents until Shadow spoke. "So tomorrow. You guys ready?"

"Yeah I'm ready but I kinda feel bad for not telling the girls about your plan sonic" Tails said as Blaze's heart sunk.  Sonic was the master mind to the whole plan.

"I know, but you know we can't trust them to keep something this big to them. They might try something or worse tell Blaze" Knuckles said.

"You all know your role for tomorrow, right," Sonic asked

"Of course" Shadow said

"Yeah!" Tails said exited

"Got it" Knuckles assured

"Good.  For tomorrow we strike. For now, we go inside. It's cold out here." Sonic said as they started to go back inside.

Shade quickly turned to communicator off while Amy turned the TV on and they tried to act natural. Sonic and the others came in to the girls watching TV.  Amy turned to them and said, "You guys took a while."

Sonic scratched the back of his head and said "Well we had some things to talk about. Like how you and Shadow are planning to start a family."

"Really" Rouge said as she pretended not to know. "It's hard to think of shadow as a
father"

"Watch it bat" Shadow warned.

"Easy. I'm only playing Shad" Rouge said

"Oh yeah." Shadow quickly pulled out a gun, pointed at rouge, and fired. All the girls
jumped back, but instead of a bullet come out of the barrel was a small flame. "Got cha."

All the guys laughed as the girls tried to recompose themselves. Rouge pouted "That's not funny!"

"it so was," Knuckles said in between laughs.

"You know, me and Blaze were thinking the same thing" Sonic said. Blaze brought her head down a little as she thought about the conversation she heard earlier.

"Shade and I thought we should wait before having kids"

"Marine thought it be best until we're older."

"well good for ya'll" Rouge said.

"Hey Amy could you give me a hand with the dishes." Blaze asked as she got up.

"Sure" Amy said as she and the rest of the girl got up.

"We'll help too" Shade said as rouge nodded.

When they were done with the dishes, everyone thought it was time to head home. Shadow and Amy were the first to leave. Followed by Knuckles and Shade. Then Tails went back home to Marine. Rouge was last to leave.  As Rouge was saying goodbye to Blaze, Sonic went upstairs to turn in.

When Sonic was out of sight, rouge leaned in and whispered in Blaze's ear, "Don't worry
we'll think of something"

Blaze nodded as Rouge left. Blaze trusted her Friend but it still shocked her to think Sonic, her husband, would get most of their friends together to murder her. Blaze headed upstairs hesitantly to find Sonic already fast asleep.  Blaze changed into a purple night gown and went to bed.
