Half a year a go, GUN came and took Shadow and Amy's house. they took Shadow away and brought  him to prison island. Of course, Shadow could break out with ease, but Gun said they would hurt Amy if did. GUN deemed Shadow too dangerous and getting ready to publicly execute him, but thanks to Shadow's immortality, they were having a hard time.

Just another day on prison island and Shadow was wondering the courtyard. Until he ran into his cellmate, Mike. Mike was a blue bird and a good friend to Shadow.

"Hey brother" Mike said

"Hey" Shadow said as they did a bro fist.

"Just one more year then I can see my baby." Mike said relieved.

"At least someone gets to" Shadow said

"come on man you'll see your girl too. Just don't give up hope."

"That easy for you to say"

"True I'm not immortal"

"And the test subject to different executions."

"True again."

"If it wasn't for their threat to hurt Amy, I'd kill'em all."

"Then you become what they all fear. You think Amy would want that?"

"...no"

"I'll see Angel again just like you'll see Amy, got that?"

"Yeah"

"Okay deviants lets go" the warden yelled as everyone stared to go back inside.

Later that night, everyone went back to their cells to turn in. Tomorrow, Shadow will be executed...again. Shadow tossed and turned, but couldn't fall asleep. His mind kept going back to the angel he calls Amy. Desperate, he pulled out a make-shift guitar and started to sing.

the other inmates woke up and remembered they had people wanting for them too so they decided to join in.

As Shadow finished his song, a single tear fell from his eye and he, along with the others, went to sleep.

The next day, Shadow was lead to the courtyard in chains.

"Any last words Shadow?" The commander said.

a tear rolled down his face. "Bye Amy, my love." He whispered.

"Very well. Aim at target!" They raised their guns towards Shadow. "AIM…..FIrUGH!"

"YOU LEAVE SHADOW ALONE!" Sonic said as he spin dashed at the soldiers.

"SONIC! WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE" Shadow yelled

"I couldn't let you die! Shad."

Shadow smiled and broke the chains. Sonic and Shadow then made their way out and just as they were at the entrance, they saw something. Soldiers strewed everywhere and two figures. Amy and Tails.

Amy turned to see her fiancee. She quickly ran to him and jumped into his arms."your ok"

Shadow smiled softly and rapped his arms around her. "I'm ok"

"Hate to cut this short, but we gotta go" Sonic said

"Sonics right, more will come" Tails

"What" Shadow said " I have to go back for Mike"

"its okay" a voice said. They turned to the source to see Mike at a bared window. "My freedom will come soon. Yours is right around the corner." Shadow looked at Mike, nodded, then turned around. "Wait!"

Shadow stopped. "yeah?"

Mike smiled "Tell Angel 'I'll be home soon'"

Shadow nodded "got it."

They ran to the X Tornado. Sonic stood on one of the wings, Shadow stood on the other, and Tails and Amy sat in the seats.

Back home, Shadow took in his surroundings. After being take half a year ago, he was finally free. He thought about his only friend on prison island. He knew he'll see Mike again someday.

"So we'll leave you two love birds alone to take out any emotions or something." Sonic gave them the thumbs up and zoomed home. "See ya at the wedding. Two weeks right?" Amy nodded and held Shadow's hand.

Shadow held Amy close to his body. "Never leave me again?"

Shadow smiled and looked at her. "Never again Ames." They kissed and watched the sun set together.
