Description This is no place for the noble heart
This is no place for the pure
It is barren and broken and evil
Of that you can be sure

This here is the ravaged land
It is all that still remains
Of what disappeared in the black-out
When the oceans drowned the plains

The haggard people in the ragged clothes
Scavenging whatever is left
This is the way of the new world now
Where there is no word for theft

The moon is black and cracked and charred
And it splatters everything in grey
The gods have fleed and abandoned the earth
And there is no one left to pray

Nothing remains of Bourbon Street
The Berlin Wall has crumbled down
The Louvre in Paris is long gone now
As they have burnt it to the ground

Along the silent gravel roads
The unmarked graves of the dead still lie
The vultures circle like flying grit
Just more scavengers in the sky

The grass does not grow here anymore
Not even the free birds sing
Only greed thrives in this lifeless place
And it devours everything

The musicians have lost all their strings
The poet's pens are quiet and still
No one remembers the music now
And no one ever will

Year upon year of sands erode
Wild whirlwinds have risen and swirled
This is the lost land forever now
In this place at the end of the World

No, this is no place for the noble heart
This aint no place for the pure
It is poisoned and choking and broken
Of that you can be sure
