Description
Built from the USS Valance, NCC-43083, an Ingram Mk.2 that served in the Dominion War. The USS Valance would be refitted through 2372 and by 2375 she was complete, it was first Ingram Mk.3 to enter service by Feburary 10th, 2376.
The Ingram Mk.3 is the evolution of the previous Ingram Mk.2, this time taking the Soverigen-isation a step above all NEX/Neo ships; as the Ingram Mk.3 or the Neo-Ingram was called the 'Mini-Soverigen' during its development from the Ingram Mk.2, the Ingram Mk.3 even had a Sensor-dome equipped torpedoe bay, akin to a Soverigen Class; it had its pylons connected directly to the upper secondary hull also akin to a Soverigen Class.
The USS Ingram, NCC-2001-A would eventually be rebuilt to Mk.3, and re-registered as the USS Ingram, NCC-2001-B and re-enter service by 2381.
During a crisis at Utopia Planita, the USS Veilside, NCC-43091 a Ingram Mk.3; the Veilside's crew got the Android workforce to return to their original tasks and through alot of area scans, pinned a Tal'Shiar Mogami that was stationary and cloaked; the Veilside moved in to get them to decloak, so it fired High-yeild AOE Phased Quantum torpedoes and it revealed a Tal'Shiar Mogai Warbird that got forced de-cloaked and disabled it; the USS Silver Shadow (Neo-Nagato Class) then swung around and destroyed it; it was later found that Commandore Oh was behind this, and she was in fact a Romulan posing as a Vulcan, she was promplty arrested and later died in strange circumstances.
There is a proposal of a potential Ingram-II/Ingram Mk.4 to be made using Excelsior-II parts, but these plans are still being debating as late as 2411, as the ship would look very Soverigen only smaller and more sleeker...
