Due to a new ship based on the Saber Cass was being fitted with L-55 Nacelles as standard; the Saber Class would also be refitted with L-55 Nacelles, these nacelles increased the warp speed by 1.75 Cochranes. The Refit Sabers also became more agile and more harder to target, with this new found agility it was decided to add Phaser Cannons to 1/4th of the class, these Phaser Cannons would be fitted flanking the Front Shuttlebay. By the time of T5YW itself, the Refit Sabers endured into the early years of it before being withdrawn as a new Saber Class using more advanced parts was being constructed at Mars Shipyards
