Well, Inca/native Peru and Peru after several centuries of Spanish rule are very different things. I am frankly tempted to do three maps for Italy, for wanked modern (post Napoleon) Italy, Renaissance Italy, and the Roman Empire (and the one I'm least interested in doing is the third, since _everyone_ wanks the Roman Empire)

Fair enough. Will you be doing the same for other "very different" nations? Egypt, Greece, Mexico and Iran all come to mind. And personally, I'd skip the Roman Empire.

I'm thinking two for Greece and Egypt: not sure about Mexico, the Aztecs are also a bit overwanked. Heck, I just did a map commission with a mongo Aztec Empire. Iran, well, there's a good chance for a classic Darius & Co. Persia (take that, Frank Miller!) as well as a Muslim one.

It might be the colouration. That's usually my biggest source of dissatisfaction when I have an inexplicable, niggling problem with my maps.
