That's another one I found from outside sources. It'sĀ  harder to do that now days.

Awesome shot. I so love projection. Not too many people do it. May I ask what kind of projector you use? Ours is very old and to be honest, the pics come out looking pixelated, despite having a high end camera. I want to upgrade and really try some cool stuff with it.

My slide projector is a Sawyer from the late 60's..... there's a bunch of lenses available for old slide projectors, some are pricey... maybe your lenses need a good cleaning or replacement....

I have a collection of vintage slides that were part of the audio/visual projections at a disco that was around from the 70's trough 90's...This image was shot using one of the slides from that old disco and the spottiness on the model's skin is mold that has formed and disfigured the slide. Once in a while I drag out the old disco & try them

Most of the slides I use, i shot myself, it's a blast

This is so cool! I really love this effect you have going. And the pose is great.

Thanks! It's a slide projected over the model. Since you're an artist it would be cool to shoot some of your artwork on slide film and then project your work over you... you'd be the canvas for your own creativity. I have no idea if you're anywhere near where i'm located...san antonio

Hey that's an awesome idea. I have slides of my work from AP art submissions last year. I'm not anywhere near san antonio though. :/ Too bad.

yeah.. the projections would be great.... natural light suits you too... geography can be a pain

love it....question--how do you eliminate the background--photo shop?

once in a while all the angles are right and the extra light blows by the model without showing in frame... but that rarely comes together... lately i just sample the best dark area and then paint over the excess light...

Yeah, I've done that too on occasion. My next project is to shoot on a rooftop and have the light just go off into infinity. I did that on the 17th floor of a hotel, but the window caught some of the light...

good idea... i just need more space and also to get a bigger projection in a shorter distance... I assume you're using a digital projector, i'm sticking with slides and just now trying super slides from 120 film. I also see that B&H has a whole universe of slide projector lenses, that might help too and also i want better clarity on multiple models so they can pose on a more extended plane, front to back ... my little projector was made to slam an image onto a flat screen... there's plenty of things to be worked out but i hope i never get it down pat to the point of being boring

Yes, I am using a DLP...you are the second projection photographer who uses older technology. He was also a whiz at the geometric and fractal stuff, just as you are. Coincidence? I haven't considered a different lens on mine, good idea. I have just bought a fisheye lens, and I'm wondering if that will help on my camera...
