Description
THE CUTIE IS BACK
I know her app looks a little unfinished, but hers is one that I imagine I'll be updating fairly often :'D Just expect that color key to get smaller as other things fill that space. It just seemed really, really empty with a small key so I blew it up like crazy.

<--- Adventure sheet!

~~~~~
Name: Calliope (Pronounced "Cal(as in California)-I-O-P. Is fine with people calling her “Callie”)
Age: 20
Gender: Female
Height: 5’4”
Sexuality:  Demisexual (Requires a strong bond with the other before sexual attraction will happen)
Likes/Dislikes:
Helping Others/Gratification - More than anything in the world, Calliope likes to feel as though she helped somebody, or did the right thing, or overall just made someone’s day a little better. Nothing will make her happier than being thanked for her efforts, whether she healed someone, made them something, or even just spent some time with them.
Children - Calliope has a very strong motherly instinct, and will be more than happy to spend time around children or help them if they need it. One can often find her playing music or telling stories to children on the streets.
Birds - Especially owls. Ironically, Rito scare her just a little, but only because she worries how they would react to her staring. After all, they aren’t too common! She loves watching seagulls fly about though, as they’re the most common on the Great Sea.
Fish - As a meal, of course. You can serve up fish just about any way you like and Calliope will love it. Pretty good, considering fish are more common than most other meat related foods.
Jewelry - Calliope is very much a typical girl in this regard. She doesn’t wear much at all, but if you get her a nice hairpin or make a friendship bracelet, she’ll never take it off again. In general, she likes things with a little more meaning behind them, compared to just looking flashy.
Avocados - Their texture is gross and their taste is even worse, as far as she’s concerned. She can handle them in small amounts, but could never even dream of eating one raw.
Redead - EEEEEEK!
”Bullies” - Calliope really doesn’t like those who see themselves as vastly superior to those around them, and heaven forbid you’re the sort of character that actively hurts others or steals from them! Not… not that she can do much, but there’ll be a lot of finger waggling for sure.
Abandonment - After Summer, Calliope is terrified of waking up and finding that those she cares about have disappeared on her. She refuses to let this happen ever again, if she can help it, and may come off as too clingy or over protective because of it.
Uselessness - There is nothing more despairing to Calliope than feeling like she can’t help somebody, or being unable to help at all. It only takes a little bit of creativity to figure out how to break her down in this regard.
Personality:
Caring / Charistmatic / Optimistic / Forgiving / Naive / Self-Sacrificing
Calliope is a genuinely good soul. She has a cheery disposition and is very friendly, and it’s easy to gravitate toward her because of this. Calliope will consider anyone she talks to a friend, and treat them as such and with utmost respect, no matter their societal standing. A very empathetic soul who can very easily relate to others and feel their emotions, she can sometimes come off as over-emotional (a good example is her shedding tears over hearing someone’s sad life story), or overall seem to dote too much on those she knows need the help, attention, or overall affection. To her, there’s always a pot of rupees at the end of a rainbow, and your absolute worst day will be followed by something better, especially if there are others around to help ease the burdens of life. There’s always hope in her eyes, and she does her best to make that hope contagious.
Calliope has a nasty habit of forgiving people when she shouldn’t. She has never-ending patience with people; you can scream at her, hit her, belittle her, and she’ll still turn the other cheek. This trait, mixed with her naivety, can make for an incredibly nasty combo. She might not even realize that somebody is doing something to wrong her in any way, and even if she did know, she likely wouldn’t do much about it. The pinnacle of Calliope’s faults, however, is her martyr mentality. She’s much too prone to sacrificing herself for the sake of others, letting herself get hurt if it means others wouldn’t, not eating so another can, and so on. It’s borderline hazardous to her health, but she genuinely believes it’s worth it as long as others are safe.
Class: Healer
Alignment:  Neutral Good – Her caring is unconditional, and she has fully devoted herself to helping others. She wants to help anybody and everybody, regardless of how evil they may be or how they might have hurt her in the past. She won’t necessarily try to change others or help them to “see the light” of the good side, and instead believes that, if shown enough kindness, even the cruelest person can find compassion in their hearts on their own; in other words, if you’re kind enough to somebody, they’ll learn to be kind themselves.
History:
Calliope grew up on Snowfall Island, far to the north and slightly to the west on the map. The place was beautiful, known for its constant layer of fresh snow and the dense forests that protected each household. The people there were nothing but kind, and viewed everyone else on the island like a family of sorts, while still offering food and shelters to those that passed through. Calliope would have lived her life on this island, grew old there, and died peacefully, if it hadn’t been for her older sister.
As it was, her dear sister Summer (named after a season she had never truly known) wanted nothing more than to sail off into the sunset and see what other marvelous places were hiding behind the horizon. This craving was only made stronger with every worn-down traveler that stopped for shelter; the stories they told ignited a fire in Summer that couldn’t be doused. She wanted to see the islands known for their hot sands and warm waters, the lush flowers that only grow in the spring, the tanned skin that comes from staying outside for extended periods of time. While her parents weren’t accepting of the idea and made that point VERY clear (a fight broke out in the family that ended with “if you go, don’t come back”), Summer still saved up for her own bow, read up on everything she could about the sea, and eventually planned her so-called escape. At the last moment, Summer managed to convince Calliope to go with her, to see this wonderful world, and that her natural talent with magic and healing could be put to better use out on sea. Calliope sneakily took the family Kalimba, passed down through the generations as their family’s healing instrument, and left.
The two seemed to do well on their own, for a time. They sailed south, stopping at any islands that seemed friendly and avoiding any that seemed even remotely dangerous. Calliope would heal people in exchange for supplies at every island they went to, so the sisters never ended up going hungry for long, and always had their boat in peak condition. The homesickness hit the two hard (calliope harder, of course), but they pushed through it. It wasn’t until Calliope was seventeen, three years after they started their journey, that she found herself alone.
Truth be told, Calliope doesn’t remember much of the day she lost her sister. All she remembers is that they were tricked, that she suffered a hard blow to the head, and when she woke up she was back on their boat and Summer was nowhere to be found. Lost, confused, and terribly alone, Calliope’s made it her goal to go to Eclipse Island and wait for her sister there. After all, it was the one place that they had been set on going, right? If Summer was still out there, it was where she would go, Calliope was (and still is) certain of it.
Other:
 Calliope has a thing for green eyes, and glasses. She has no idea why, she just finds them especially attractive.
Despite her outfit, she also really likes darker colors, like dark reds. She doesn’t feel she could ever wear them, but feels a sense of security around those who do… which probably isn’t good, since that’s usually a very evil color.
Calliope’s scared of leaving Eclipse Island permanently, because she worries she’ll give up waiting on Summer and that’s when her sister will appear and that they’ll just barely miss seeing each other again. She’s trying her hardest to live there, mainly on her boat circling the island, as she doesn’t trust the actual inns there.
Calliope makes enough rupees to survive by working at the Hylia Temple, and healing various people for low costs. If she could, she would do it for free, but until she can find someone to go on adventures with, she has to find a way to make enough for food.
Her main outfit is used both as general attire and more relaxed adventures. The first chibi outfit is her swimsuit, the second one is her more strenuous adventure attire, and the third outfit is her lazy day town attire.
If you download the picture, you'll have a much easier time seeing her freckles! The swimsuit chibi was drawn specifically to show where her freckles are on her body.
RP Methods/Style: At the moment it’s purely skype, PST time, lit rp, all that I’ll try to be better about posts but don’t fault me too heavily if I take a good chunk of days to reply; I promise I’ll never take longer than a week.
