Yup~ The funny thing is, I shipped John<3Rose since the girl first showed up, and that left Dave<3Rose, which I fell in love with pretty quickly. Then came the crappy thing drawn by a jackass, and I literally squee'd with delight.
I personally think Eridan and Karkat were good friends pre-canon. Kar seemed pretty shaken up when Eridan started killing people. Granted, a big part of that was the fact that he'd killed Kanaya... Another big factor for me was that Eridan kept going to Karkat for romantic advice, which still fails to register to me, but meh. *shrug*
I KNOW, I KNOW! Nepeta and Terezi seem to get along really well, but given the choice between the two, Nep would more than likely choose to hang around Equius than Terezi. Even if Terezi cooperates more when Nepeta wants to role-play.
That shoosh-papping bit got to my brother pretty well. He liked both of them as characters to start with (you should have seen his face when Kanaya sacked Gamzee! ), and now both of his favourite ships have Gamzee, too; Gamzee<3Tavros and Gamzee<>Karkat, in his case.

Karkat is a shipper. It is true. He denies it, but it is true. Ha ha!
See, I always figured Eridan wouldn't want ANYTHING to do with him... And... Karkat DID just see his best friend get maybe killed, one of his other super close friends get killed, and Feferi die. That's a lot to deal with. And Eridan would have killed him too if he'd seen him...
Ah... Perhaps...

So did my brother. Actually, he shipped Rose<3Dave for the longest time, based on what he could read over my shoulder. You should have seen his face when I told him they were siblings!

Well, that's true. I can see where you're coming from. Y'know, I find it funny how Eri always said he'd spare Kanaya when he went and killed all the land-dwellers, and yet she was the ONLY land-dweller he killed. No wonder she killed him and not Gamzee or Vriska.

My brother makes these AMAZING faces! I swear, some of them make me question if he's human.
He really isn't, but he can be a sort-of sweet guy when he wants to be. As opposed to my friend-for-lack-of-better-term, who is a Cancer and is EXACTLY like rage!Karkat. Right down to the overuse of the F-word.
I actually laughed so hard when she sacked Gamzee. So hard. And my brother was sitting there hoping Gamzee hadn't died, and I was thinking the opposite, and it was really fun to talk about him between us for a few days.
VriskaxKanaya = first femslash ship I ever supported, ever. And I still ship it.
