When I got this survey to answer, I was pretty darn excited! I can't believe that it's DeviantArt's 15th birthday!!! That's a big one! While the site has changed in many ways over the years, one thing has remained constant and that is the wonderful community. I've met so many people on here that I would have never met otherwise, and I feel incredibly lucky! If you're in the festive mood, feel free to steal this questionnaire, answer it, and repost with the tag #deviantartistquestionnaire ! I can't wait to read everybody else's!
How long have you been on DeviantArt?
8 years, but in October, it will be 9 years! I started on Deviantart when I was still in high school, which seems like forever ago. My friend RenDuH , formerly greendaygurl , convinced me to sign up, and on a whim I did.
What does your username mean?
I don't remember how I came up with it specifically, I've been using "kitty" for usernames for video games for a really long time, because, well, I like cats. I remember thinking that I like kitties and that I wouldn't mind being the queen of all of them though, so it probably came from something like that. When it became an option to change usernames, I just couldn't do it, way too nostalgic!
Describe yourself in three words
Curiouser and Curiouser.
Are you left or right handed?
Right handed. When I was a teenager, I was always incredibly offended when people would imply that left-handed people were more creative than the right-handed ones. I was easily offended as a teen, obviously.
What was your first deviation?
I know, you're really impressed that a cat butt was my first DeviantArt submission
What is your favourite type of art to create?
Fashion portraits! I tend to vacillate between really soft and pretty ones to more edgy textural ones to really fun and bright ones. It tends to depend on the season and my mood and my need to create something specific. I'd like to think that means I'm multi-faceted, instead of being indecisive. 
If you could instantly master a different art style, what would it be?
Watercolor. It's a soothing medium that I've dabbled in, but something I'll just never be really good at.

What was your first favourite?
A cat, duh.
What type of art do you tend to favourite the most?
Emotive, expressive, and fashion photography portraits! I love all kinds of art though: traditional art, digital art, poetry, short stories, photos of cats, etc.

Who is your all-time favourite deviant artist?
That's a hard question! In my own medium, without a doubt M0THart (Marta Bevacqua), because I fall in love with nearly every photo she posts! On the drawing/painting side of things I'd probably pick AbigailLarson because I love her darker themed art, and she has such a lovely style!
If you could meet anyone on DeviantArt in person, who would it be?
M0THart , as mentioned before, or EmilySoto who is another incredible fashion and portrait photographer! She also shoots a lot of Polaroids, and I just think it would be incredible to meet with her and talk about photography, or collaborate on a shoot. I also desperately want to meet DmajicPhotography in person, and she better come see me this year or next!! Do you hear that Daniela?? I've made this public, you better get your butt to Florida!
How has a fellow deviant impacted your life?
zemotion 's work has had a profound impact on my art. When I started becoming serious about taking photos of people, I was inspired a lot by pre-raphaelite paintings, but I always had Jingna's work in the back of my mind. Even when I was fave'ing photos of cats and fantasy drawings/paintings, her work was always a constant in my favourites. Heck, my mousepad even has one of her photos on it. There are so, so many artists on DeviantArt that shaped my art though
, including nerdynotdirty , EdgarBerg , EmilySoto , and DmajicPhotography who are all cool as cool can be. kamakebelieve is the best photographer buddy in the world, and she has helped me through a million things and continually inspired me to work harder. I met JessikaLevine through DeviantArt and I ended up visiting her in California a couple of years ago, and she was the most amazing tour guide to the most beautiful parts of California. I also met Limetastic and distortified through here, and they are super cool people as well. Also a big thank you to the whole CV team who have helped me out in the last month, especially Mrs-Durden and isthisthingstillon who have both been a huge help on all things CV and Deviantart even when it comes to me asking stupid questions. Also a huge thank you to moonbeam13 for giving me the chance to be on the team!

What are your preferred tools to create art?
My camera! It's nothing special, although I get a lot of people asking me what I shoot with. My main camera is an outdated dinosaur Olympus E-3 with their fantastical 50mm 2.0 lens. I could change and buy a new camera, but I'm also a total cheapskate and can't imagine splurging a few thousand dollars on a new camera and lenses. Mine are doing fine enough for me! I also love using my myriad of Polaroids, my favorite being a Polaroid 420 that my grandmother found me for Christmas and a Polaroid Impulse that I inherited from my Aunt Pattie after she passed away. The Impulse is the camera that started me back on using film and started my first foray into Polaroids.
What is the most inspirational place for you to create art?
Out in Nature! A lot of people are bothered by mosquitoes and mud and heat and humidity, and while to some degree those do affect me, those things all tend to fade in the distance when my camera is up to my face. The studio is great because you can shoot in there no matter the weather, but I don't get the same feeling from shooting in there.
What is your favourite DeviantArt memory?
Ohhh this is fun! I was just talking about this with a fellow CV. Back in 2009, PorcelainPoet gave me my first DD on April Fool's Day. I was in my college's computer lab, and I was so flustered I thought it was some weird DA April Fool's Day joke, because I could never imagine being given a DD! When I realized it was for real, I was completely overtaken with happiness. I called my mom practically in a hysteria, but of course she had no idea what a DD was, so I was just left with the biggest smile on my face for the rest of the day (possibly the rest of the week, if I'm honest with myself), because gosh darn it, I felt COOL. If it wasn't already obvious, I'm kind of a dork. Now, I'm slightly embarrassed that the most popular photograph in my gallery, likely for all eternity, is a baby squirrel in my cousin Kelsey's hand that has over 40k views, but c'est la vie. I still enjoy telling Kelsey that she's basically famous, or at least her hand is.
