Another MeMe! Yay! Meet Tressa, named after one of my little sister's best friends because I was blanking on a name when I made her. She was made for the explict purpose of seeing how much different(if at all) the Anders romance was with a mage rather than a rogue/warrior. This playthrough was the absolutely fastest I have ever gone through a game in my life. I think she took three or four days. All my other Hawkes took at least two weeks, Wardens were a couple months(I like to make about five chars at the same time and then switch between them).

SO some explanation(and y'know possible spoilers if you haven't beaten the game, etc. etc. etc.):

1. Tressa is a bit naive, loves her family, but DO NOT make her mad. Grace learned that the hard way. Kidnap my little brother, will you?! And I just love Force Mage. Saved my neck against the Arishok.

2. I promise, I do play other things then sarcastic. They just don't have MeMes yet. I think I picked every single sarcastic option for her, except to yell at Keran about the whole kidnapping Carver thing. Oh, and she was all diplomatic and supportive with her little brother(except for the occasional sisterly teasing, like when she gave him the letters).

3. Who doesn't love Varric? And I know I'm in the minority on this, and I mean serious minority, but Carver is my absolute hands down favorite character in the game. Between the way you can fight with him, and how REAL he seems, and how much growing up he does if he joins the Wardens... just . Plus, I have little brothers, so there's that. Mage is my new favorite class, and getting Carver is a HUGE part of why. I also like Donnic. He's honest, straightforward, a gentleman, and you get hints of him being a really good husband(also so darn NORMAL). One of my warrior Hawkes(not Jayde) is about ready to fight Aveline for him.

4. Okay, okay, she hates the 'standard' people, but I think it's a well established fact that Petrice is generally loathed in the fandom.

5. 'Love is blind' was said with Tressa in mind. She falls for Anders and HARD.( Anders: I needs your help gatheri-- Tressa: Let's go! Anders: *blink blink* okaaaay... Anders: I need you to distract the-- Tressa: Consider it done, sweetheart. ) Yes, she was that bad. Anders needs her help, she gives it, no questions asked. Even after he blew up the chantry, her forgiveness was readily given. Mildly unhealthy relationship? Oh, yes. But that's Tressa for you. And that kiss in his clinic totally made me all weak-kneed.

6. Yes, I am aware this means either Carver or Fenris was technically tank, but they managed, and we shredded through stuff. 'Twas awesome! Tressa's the first Hawke to use Isabela a lot(and thus still have her around after Act 2). And I am convinced Carver is THE reason I killed Meredith twice as fast with Tressa as I did with Jayde. Both used Fenris, Bethany was spec-ed about the same as Anders, therefore, it was Carver's awesomeness.

7. All that work bending over backwards to get Carver's friendship points up paid off in a little brother who was actually happy to see me. He was happier to see me than Bethany was. Besides that, I mean, Nathaniel. Even if they got his eye color wrong, it's still Nathaniel.

8. Everyone was maxed out by the end of the game except Sebastian, who doesn't count because she didn't recruit him, and Carver, who starts so deep in rivarly territory I don't know if it's POSSIBLE to max him out friend without cheating.

9. Have I mentioned that I love Carver? I have? Then I'll just piggyback off that to add that his re-entrance in Act 3(after the chantry goes boom, when he takes out that shade) had me grinning like an idiot. And his final convo in the Gallows was probably the highlight of Tressa's game for me(saractic options FTW!). He grows so much as a character(at least as a Warden; haven't let him join the Templars yet...) that it makes me so very happy. I also love it when two of your party members are bantering and someone else(or even Hawke) will chip in.

10. I think I spent a good three minutes staring at my computer in disbelief when I didn't get a kiss (Especially after finishing Aeda's romance with Fenris). If that's honestly the way that's supposed to end... well, Tressa disapproves +100. After everything she's done for him, a kiss before facing impending doom would be nice. He's an in-game romance, I tend to expect more from that than from the romancable DLC character. *hmph*

11. 'Nuff said. I think I'm more proud of that than a human being has a right to be about anything involving a video game.
