Description Allow me to be the next to jump on the Inspiration meme bandwagon.

Since Rahna's the one I write about the most, I figure I'll do her. She's also the closest thing to canon I have(well, maybe Irene could protest that, but that's off topic...).

So....explanations:

1. Belle(Beauty and the Beast)--Like the heroine of my favorite movie ever, Rahna loves her father(and cousins, in her case), but desperately longs to go have an adventure somewhere other than home. She's not adverse to falling in love/getting married, if she finds the right guy.

2. Arwen(LotR)--aside from the obvious 'they're both elves' connection, Rahna is also in love with the rightful heir to the throne of a kingdom, and feels very strongly that they are supposed to be together(so much so that she lets Anora keep the throne, so they're not identical, but close enough)

3. Tigger(Winnie the Pooh)--Rahna has a generally happy disposition, wears her heart on her sleeve, and occasionally her cheeriness gets on someone's nerves.

4. Mira(KotOR 2)--um...this is the problem with not doing this thing all in one sitting...I can't remember all my reasons Mira's an influence...crap. I know her personality is a lot like Rahna's, in that she's merciful, doesn't like to kill anyone(even someone trying to kill her; which is why Zev's around to be in Aftermath), and blunt.

5. My brother-- This is where Rahna's sarcastic streak and wittiness come from(I know the sarcasm hasn't shown up too much in Aftermath, but trust me, in-game, she was very sarcastic).

6. Kate Austen(LOST)-- Like Kate, Rahna's killed to protect someone she loves, she's in a love triangle because of leading Zevran on(I will let you decide who's Jack and who's Sawyer...), and doesn't like to talk about her past unless she really trusts you.

7. Sam Gamgee(LotR)--(Anyone wanna guess my favorite books?) Rahna has the same level of loyalty to her friends as Sam has to Frodo, to the point of being willing to do things that may appear insane to help them(see chapters 10-11 of Aftermath if you need any proof of that...). She also has the tremendous, ever-driving sense of duty that Sam does.

A few things that wouldn't fit: Me. All of her decisions were made with a what-would-I-do approach(even though I knew telling Morri no meant Alistair was gonna die. If I had been standing there, in that moment, without foreknowledge of what would happen, I would have said no. So Rahna said no).

Tulio(The Road to EL Dorado)--Tulio and Rahna are both schemers.

And musical influences:
Evanescence, Within Temptation(HUGE!), Breaking Benjamin, A Fine Frenzy, Kelly Clarkson, Jordin Sparks, and a teensy weensy dash of Selena Gomez(as in, 'Tell Me Something I Don't Know' and 'A Year Without Rain') were the biggest

EDIT: I can't believe I forgot this, but Lifehouse was a ridiculously huge musical influence. As in, there would be no Aftermath without them(Plus they're one of my favorite bands ever...).

Great meme.. I love how you put Tigger in there too..
You gotta love LOtR..

I like how realistic you made Rahna's choice about the Dark Ritual.. It's nice to see for a change..

Yeah, when you add up not liking blood magic and not liking the idea of sharing 'her' Alistair, I couldn't think of a single reason Rahna would have accepted Morrigan's offer. 'Course she pays dearly for her choice, but I don't know if that would be enough to change her mind.

And Tigger is awesome. I didn't realize how much influence he'd had on her until almost the end of the game.

I like that.. You always have to stay true to the characters you create.. Making compromises about their personalities really isn't cool..

Yeah. I have a Surana going right now who I know would support Bhelen. I don't really wanna support Bhelen. BUT it's what Eave would do, so it's happening.

I totally broke my immersion on one Cousland when I had the werewolves kill the Dalish. I won't be breaking character like that again...

Very well done!
I got a question about this part though:
"even though I knew telling Morri no meant Alistair was gonna die. If I had been standing there, in that moment, without foreknowledge of what would happen, I would have said no. So Rahna said no"
Morrigan makes her offer, after that Orlesian warden already tells you one of you has to die to kill the Archdemon. Did you plan on striking the final blow yourself?

Well, I had already beaten the game(twice), and read all kinds of spoilers, so I knew what was gonna happen. But if it was me, with absolutely no knowledge that Riordan was going to die early on in the battle and Morrigan suggesting I let her sleep with the man I love in a blood magic ritual because he might possibly die killing the archdemon, I would have agonized over it a good ten or twenty minutes but still told her no. Because, like I said, Riordan says he'll kill it, you'd have no way of knowing he was gonna die before that point in the battle, Morri's suggesting blood magic(and while my feelings on that might be mixed, Rahna really doesn't like it),and sleeping with my man, and even if you say yes, if some darkspawn gets in a lucky blow, Alistair might die anyway.

But,yes, if it came to it(and the game would've let me...), I would have struck the final blow myself. Rahna would've, too. I touch on that in the first couple chapters of Aftermath; she thinks she should be the dead one, because she's 'just one elf' and was already wounded etc, etc.

That was good question though. I guess I wasn't really clear on that.

Aha I see. I totally also try to play according to "What would I do" in my Canon playthrough. It's just that anyone could be forgiven for expecting the worst at the ritual-moment. Namely expecting Riordan not to make it far enough, despite him having volunteered.
But yes I understand where you are coming from.

I'm somewhat optimistic on stuff like that. I have trouble with the 'Hope for the best, prepare for the worst' attitude, but even if I'd known Riordan was gonna die, Morrigan's offer wouldn't stop a darkspawn from getting in a lucky strike in the battle.
