This tutorial is based on my vector Empty PromisesTutorial credit - Nola Falk aka ~QueenNola
I hope its helpful and not confusing. This is my first tutorial so I'm hoping I explained it well.

how did you change the stroke so it would look skinnier

pull the anchor point tighter. Select a point using the white arrow and with the pen tool options select the last option which looks like a curve. click and drag until you make the line thinner
