The first 'Reminder'this is just done for laughs- no serious art skills displayed X_O i only allow myself an hour to do these- so i grab the nearest manga and steal some poses to spead up the process XD i think this time i got 2 or 3 offa bleach ^^" not original work at all but *meh* its jst random da'wa ^_^

God says that when one do something for the sake of learning, and seeking knowledge, he better do it with all his heart, since it's count as a form of worship.
And after all, God love the hardworking Believers who strive to be great, much more than those who lock them selfs in their rooms praying, and try to restrain others just because they restrain themselves.

you have a funny Imam...my Imam says that Prayer-worship-ebadat in Islam according to 2 verses in the holy quraan is doing ANYTHING (even making art) as long as it has 2 things with it 1- Allah [swt] approves it 2- You're doing it ONLY to please Allah [swt]
You never know whom you're waking up with your art to pay more attention to Islam or become Muslim...so it's definitely allowed!
Now before doing ANYTHING...you can ask yourself or see the books of jurisprudence that Does Allah [swt] allow me to ___________ ???? If YES then go ahead and purify your intention and DO IT!
The purpose of our creation is NOTHING but Ebadat(worshipping) so i doubt he wanted us to sit there and pray 100% of the time forever, otherwise who would build anything? who would farm? who would raise children?
SOOOOO it's A BIG lie that worshiping and praying is ONLY doing salat or sitting in your prayer rug forever.

I agree with what you said. after I made my "Understanding Islam for dummies" comics, so many non muslims replied and said it helped them understand a lot about Islam and removed some misconceptions.

i think its a great effort, maybe u shud make it clear somewhere that this is a great guide uve put together from ur own effort of resources u cud find, but there are other interpretations and understandings so people should be encouraged to go look around for stuff themselves too? i guess uve done that by putting up links to all these different pages on ur site- nice :3

OMG!! i could totally relate to this peice
my family says that drawing things with faces is challenging Allah, and then other people say its apprecaiting his creation. im totally stuck. i love drawing people and what not but what are we muslim artistis to do right?

salaamz ^^ kehe- lux like ur stuck in My kinda predicament(omg sp)- well wat i thing every muslim artist shud do is do their own research and luk around for proof that its haram-cuz u kno, its all halal unless its proven 2 b haram...which is wat i did- and wen i went to the V&A museum in central london and saw copies of the quran from like 100yrs after hte prophets death- i was shocked to find they had drawings of the prophets and all the stories in the quran in full illustrations on every page...it makes sense really, i mean- how else wud the arabs have spread islam into india and china without knowing the language ryt? art is a mutual visual language- which is why its so powerful...it breaks tonnes of barriers in communication ^^ i think were denying ourselves a huge ryt if we say its 'haram' so go for it sis- dont let ur talents rot ^_~ x.

in fact they have. But my Imam is revolutionary and very much with ghoraan and he says that i can EVEN listen to music, as long as it reminds me of Allah [swt]...in other words, if while listening you enter an emotional state where you realize your creation and recall your duties before Allah [swt]. That music is definitely halal even thought the artist didn't mean the lyrics that way or the composer was a kafer! It's how YOU listen to it.

totaly- i respect my imaams n everything, i mean they R supposed (stressed on the word supposed) to be leaders etc but some of them nowadays -sigh- i just wish our mosques wud fork out more to get sum DECENT imaams that are properly educated and its not just a job people do cuz theres nothing else really available...

Yeah and they're always making false fatwas and rulings about certain issues, like saying that music is haram, or that girls should never mix/talk with guys. It's just plain silly.

Also if we weren't meant to TALK with guys (girl here)...why was Prophet Moses (pbuh) in the Holy Quraan allowed to speak to the daughters of the shepherd and help them quench the thirst of their sheep without having ANY relationship to them what so ever?
Why was Prophet Solomon in the Quraan again allowed to speak with the queen of sheeba?
So it shows that if you're INTENTION is helping someone or guiding them or just wanting to get to know them for marriage...WE CAN TALK!
When your Imam confuses you, ALWAYS ALWAYS go back to the Quraan and see the examples.
