Personality: Jace is grumpy, and that's only when she's in a pleasant mood. The other captains can make her temper flare, and like any hellmare worth her horn, she settles most disputes with a certain brand of violence. But she wouldn't have her position if she wasn't a good leader, and a good leader she is, able to boost morale or harbor hope in the hearts of her soldiers with only a few well spoken words. A valid criticism is that she plays hard and fast with law and regulation, but that is to be expected for a Kemessian, and Jace's tendency to see rules as merely 'suggested guidelines' has yet to get her in trouble. In fact, it often ends up being the better choice, a fact she is quick to rub in Wess' face.

History: Jace was fathered by one of her mother's many lovers; they're still not really sure which one, but Jace has never really cared. She was (and is) strangely indifferent to a lot of things that probably should be important to her, and the identity of a father who took no part in raising her was one of the many things she doesn't trouble herself with caring about. She was more interested in becoming a part of the legion, and from a young age she worked with the Instructors, special hellmares that would take the time out of their schedules to tutor youngsters in the "art of being a badass", as her own Instructor liked to call it. She was good at her studies, and she was good at leading her sparring partners into a false sense of superiority before she beat the snot out of them. "Tiny and ferocious", the adults said, and she carried that description for better or worse all the way through the hellmare ranks, eventually rising to the position of captain.

Misc Information:
- Being a traditional dapple gray (sort of, anyway), Jace will become lighter as she ages. She was born a very dark blue-gray .
