Q: How do I apply gift corruption to a spinxyn design I'm submitting? How is it applied to an existing spinx?
A: First, you need to have purchased the item from the curse shop above (or own a cryptic MYO slot)! Gift corruption can ONLY be added to a gifted or cryptic MYO spinxyn, an existing gifted spinxyn design, or in tandem with a gift item. Gift corruption is applied the same as any other item or MYO submission via a note to Nephfei ! Each gift corruption item can only affect one gift type (to affect multiple gift types, you will need additional corruption items)!

Q: What kind of gift corruption do cryptic MYO slots allow?
A: Cryptic MYO slots allow the use of a corrupted centicorn or harpip gift (only one)- corrupted merphin gift would require the shop item being applied to a merphin gift.

Q: When corruption happens, is it instant, or can it be gradual?
A: Corruption works similar to 'curses' within Nephfei canon- it's possible for corruption to get worse over time, depending on factors related to the spinxyn's gifter. For ML recording though, corruption appearance follows the same guidelines as designing a curse (you pick the level of corruption you want to more consistently display, rather than using all stages).

Q: Can a spinxyn have multiple corrupted gifts?
A: Yes! It's possible to have a corrupted centicorn, harpip, and merphin gift, all at once. would be one poor bastard .

Q: Can a spinxyn have corrupted gifts and non-corrupted gifts?
A: Yes! For example, they could have a normal centicorn gift, and a corrupted harpip gift.
Note: spinxyn can only have one centicorn or merphin gift at a time, but they can receive harpip gifted wings from multiple harpips. If one harpip gift becomes corrupted, however, it affects every harpip gift as a whole in terms of functionality.

Q: If a nephian has gifted multiple spinxyn and corrupts the magic of their gift via severe magic misuse, are all the gifted spinxyn affected?
A: No. Gift corruption is still a rare occurrence, so it may only affect 1 or 2 of the spinxyn closest to them out of 50 that they've gifted.

Q: In Nephfei canon, can corrupted gifts be overwritten by receiving a new gift of the same type? Can a corrupted gift be removed by the original gifter?
A: Mostly no- the corruption binds itself to a spinxyn and prevents replacement. They could only receive a new gift of the same type if the corrupted gift is removed... removal of a corrupted gift by the original gifter may be possible with the assistance of very powerful magic, or wholehearted determination by the parties involved. This is almost never an option though, due to the circumstances that cause corrupted gifts to appear.
(this only applies to Nephfei canon- you can still use a gift swap item to get rid of a corrupted gift on a character / design level)
