I'm running a game of Dark Heresy, and started a series of drawings for some of the allies and acolytes of the Inquisitor the party works with.

This drawing is the bodyguard of the Inquisitor that the acolytes serve. He is a Death World-born Arch Militant built via Rogue Trader rules. He strikes a looming profile in heavily jury-rigged and battle worn power armor with all manner of feral fetishes and totems painted on its surface. He prefers to fight from behind his Naval shield getting immediately between the threat and his charge while blasting away with his storm bolter.

I plan on trying to attack all of these in three stages - first is the rough pencil sketch, then I'll be scanning and doing some pen work, finally I'll create a final black-and white with some minor shading.

This one I think will require something more in the background, or maybe some more touches to give it character beyond 'looming ominous tough guy'
