This is just a quick little fractal I did as a sort of tribute to $chix0r , for everything she's done for me personally and for the MN@.Tartans have a very significant history in Scotland. I did not know this until just now, but each clan had it's own tartan pattern. Similar to English Coat of Arms and what not.
So this is my tartan for Fiona. `FixMeKnow picked the colors you can kind of see interwoven in the pattern. I didn't want too much color, as I have an odd fondness for simple fractals.

Question for you, @quickdraw - what program did you use for this, and was the equation already built in, or did you tweak and modify a current one?

I used Ultra Fractal and used a predone equation, but tweaked it to get the colors seperated as I wanted. Only the border was done in Photoshop.

That is one thing I love about UF, the easy ability to share your work with others so they can tweak it. Makes a great collaboration tool.

Yep, sure do, but I'm more curious how you can import something into UF from Photoshop. That's what intrigues me. I like to screw around with UF a lot, but I don't make anything pretty, because the colors suck.

Well I don't know about "importing". I usually just have to render the image and open it in Photoshop to do any last minute adjusts.
