Description
This is dedicated to the deviantART admins who play the rules here as they want, not the same for everybody.ΒThis work is about hard censorship about sex in social networks, and mostly here, I suppose it was a website about art.
This is about the behavior of people who using the excuse of following the rules of the site, they use to report artwoks from other people, and I wonder if they say that they love art.
Now report that!

well yes they have become too "touchy-feely" on the term pornography as opposed to art. I thought it was just insertion, well, creampies and scat as the line to cross. Oh and anything on genitalia is fine, as long as there isn't any penetration was the consensus a long time ago.
I remember a time where the new rules were enforced and there was a flood movement of the "illicit" images were being uploaded and shot down.

I've never understood why DA does this. Why block art like yours when if you have the safe search off the entire front page is filled with really graphic fetish work. I'm not saying that it's bad that it's there, I'm just saying they need to pick a side, either censor all of it, or none of it. Preferably none :/ but these people don't get that, do they?Β

Its a wider problem than deviant Art. Root problem is that children can be told any stupid idea and they believe it for the rest of their lives. Four year olds don't argue back. Stupid ideas passed on in this way include religion, nationalism and extreme politics and yes ideas about nudity. So agree with you on this one.

Probably late to chime in on this, but the argument goes both ways. Im not wholly against nudity, nor am I against sexuality. I just really feel that certain things shouldn't be desensitized to youths or to adults. I'm under the belief sex is a sacred and deeply personal act and that you perform those acts with your partner(s). Im not against sharing the ideas of sex or its imagery, but I do think there should be a balance.Β
I think a good majority of the nude art on DA is nothing but vouyeristic-flush. Theres very little aesthetic appeal or even a subconscious attempt at doing something artful. It seems more shock-and-awe type of stuff and it comes off as cheap.
There are a plethora of beautiful, interesting, and gorgeaous works that I truly respect and think are wonderful which pertain to the subject. Like yourself, you take great care to create a point in your subject material. everything is so thought provoking and interesting. From the poses, the actions, everything is well balanced and as a viewer, you know the nudity is just a vessel for the message.
Don't get me wrong, I try not to be elitist or to judge the principles of art on the works of others. I just think there is a difference between exploitation pieces and art, and that when the works are more for the previous its not art. Its exploitation of nudity itself. It devalues the whole principle of creating a nude piece. When the "art" itself devalues the subject matter, either by poor delivery or a lack of tastefulness, its just pure exploitation. Like I said it goes both ways, some nude art is tasteless to provoke a point, and it just relies on good delivery.Β
To balance this all out, the difference between pornography and art is a grey area, theres a lot of porn that is artful. Not everything is black and white. My points just come down to is that there should be stronger screenings for younger people to see such things. That the site should allow for nude art as long as it is appropriately screened for the intended and appropriate audiences. And that those who post such things are aware of the varied audiences and respect nudity as a whole and do there best to create pieces of art.
