Don't be so hard on yourself, if only I had a fraction of your art skill, my life would be complete.

well if you ever feel that way again, just remember Pearl and all the comments and notes people sent you the first time it happened. remember even more, that they are still there to support you if it ever happens again.

you will get through it as long as you know there is something in the horizon. i'm 19 years old now and have happily gotten over my depression of younger years. When i first joined this site, i was soooo disappointed and jealous of anything and everything on here! i felt like my skill was horrible. i felt horrible in the MIDDLE of the stages... i used to draw the same style and same subject matter and never really paid attention to others... and then i starting getting criticized and with the help of others i found that i WANTED to improve... but it was at THAT moment that it was the hardest for me... trying to climb a ladder that wasn't mine. trying to instantly improve to be up to someone else's level.

but now pageview's dont matter, watchers dont matter- the only thing that matters is my motivation and whether or not i use it. when i get lazy/artist's block i simply look at the work that USED to make me feel horrible and use it for inspiration and motivation. i look at tutorials.. they get me itching to draw draw draw! i use references now which make everything more satisfying to me. NOW i'm at a different stage than before... i still want to get better! but i'm at a point now that my artistic ability is better than before but i'm still progressing at my own pace. getting better takes time and what you put into it usually shows in your work. i dont study much in art like color theories or anatomy so of course those things will slack since i dont truly understand it... but my face proportions and female anatomy is better than that of a male because i spend all my time drawing them and painting them

just remember you are you and you are the only one to control your ability to improve and to prove to yourself that you can do anything you put your mind to but not to let the height of the ladder bring a shadow over you, bring feelings of defeat over you, or to feel like no one cares or sees your potential. you CAN do it. and when you believe in it you will do it <3

Wow, I'm sooooo jealous of your artistic abilities You are fantastic and I love the way you draw wolfs' feet D: I saw like all of your gallery and it's really awe inspiring. Also, I just love the way you drew the wings on the dragon, they're just...ugh, you are just amazing - it's official.

Oh, and one last thing. Whatever depression you have, you'll get through it sometimes life seems dark, but you will always find the light. Plus, you have poeple to love and to lean on when days get rough. So, even though I don't know you, I'm rooting for you.

I've always found your artwork amazing and you're a great inspiration to me. If it wasn't for you and your art, I wouldn't have found how to colour the way I do now (which up until then I had been trying to learn for 2 years), I keep the two originals you sent me on my wall so I can look at them and feel inspired. I hope you never lose your creativity or ability to draw because it truly is beautiful and inspiring.

A beautiful, majestic picture. I love the few curling feathers. Dunno why, but I really do like 'em a lot. It's interesting that you've only used basically one colour - it shows a lot of skill with shading. Did you use some sort of texture for the background?
