Banyan is a 26 year old peryton doe of the arboreal subspecies of deer, and though of tribal ancestry, she abandoned that lifestyle and ran away to Equestria- now living and working in Baltimare as a barmaid.

Escaping her oppressively traditional tribe at the young age of thirteen, (an adult in tribal deer society,) she did eventually find metaphorical safe harbour in Baltimare, where she would eventually gain an education and literacy at an almost unheard of rate. It is a little known fact that she has an eidetic memory, and never forgets anything.

As a barmaid, she gets to meet and talk with new people, and frankly, this is all she wants from her life. she has no greater ambition or target, and considers herself to already be living her perfect life. She has even joked that she would do her job for free if she didn't have bills to pay.

Physically, she is in the absolute prime of her life- fit, agile, toned, and very active. When she isn't working, she can generally be found running or flying around the city in order to maintain her prodigious fitness level. Though fairly small for an adult doe, she is most definitely has better strength, speed and endurance than the average doe of her species.

Known to be friendly, charming, and always down for a game, (either board or video varieties,) or a physical challenge, or even any excuse just to spend time with her close friends- Banyan is a doe that appreciates the small comforts of life, and wants to share her joy with those that she loves.

Though neither the most physically affectionate or initially trusting of her kind, Banyan will allow the closest of her friends, or her lovers pet her like a dog- belly rubs are acceptable, ear scritches are appreciated, and even the action of l preening her wings is not off the cards if she truly trusts you.

A connoisseur of Equestrian alcoholic beverages, yet who rarely drinks alcohol in a social capacity, she tends to go for expensive cognacs or whiskeys when she does decide to drink- though as a responsible drinker, this is never to the point of drunkenness.

Her belled leather collar is something she is never seen in public without, and it has her name and address engraved on a brass tag that is just out of shot here. She wears it because she simply likes the feel of it, and the jingling noise it makes as she trots down a street

When it comes to more personal matters, Banyan is a pansexual free spirit, and doesn't see species as a barrier to love or even simple lust. Additionally, she does have a hunter/prey fetish, with her being the prey. It appears, however, that she does have a slight apparent preference for male partners, but this cannot be proven at this point without actually asking her.
