Everyone lost their shiny scales in this page. I'm debating on keeping them thugh they're a pain to draw continuously. I'm also probably going to roll their skull anatomy back to what it was before, looks better for a more cartoon style.
Also this is what backgrounds are gonna be like - simply and blurred out a bit so they're not 'in focus'.
Oh yes. Blood. But whose? ;D

Someone needs to give Ruskaer some sunglasses! May I ask why he (and others of his race) are so sensitive to light, or will that be revealed in due course?

Well, in this page he just stared directly at the sun, which'll burn anyone's eyes. xD But yes, they're definitely very sensitive to the light; it's just due to the way their eyes are structured compared to the longwings. I drew this for reference: sta.sh/0ohgqq3udkr
If you remember way back in like page.. 10 or so, Tygressa complains she can't see in the dark tunnel so Rusk lights it up with fire. Similar for Rusk not being able to see in such bright light. The reason why it's like this despite both living underground forever is classified. ;D

Ah I see, so Tyg's eye pupils are generally narrower, with the more stereotypical lizard-like appearance, while Rusk's pupils appear wider and thus can absorb more light. Haha, you and your classified information. 
Indeed... I reckon I'd be flipping out, myself. XD I'd probably stumble around panicking, trip and fall down the hole while doing so, and hurt myself.
