Woo, really happy I completed one more piece before my convention next week. Of course, it had to be another FF7 piece; this time of Cloud Strife. It's becoming almost a tradition that any time I paint Sephiroth I gotta follow it up with Cloud. 
Sorry, but I just love these two so much! I'm still excited by the remake news and hope that I see FF7 fans at the convention. So far, I've intentionally avoided any websites/forums/videos discussing remake updates and details, LOL. I really want to play the remake with a blank state, without any expectations. While there were issues I found with the Compilation that I hope the game addresses, I'm just gonna walk into this remake completely blind.With regards to this pic, I decided to paint something quick and relatively painless. It's a spiritual peace. You all are free to guess which of Cloud's deceased loved ones is coming to him right now. Perhaps Aerith? Zack? Cloud's mother? Or maybe it's the innocent boy who lost everything during the Nibelheim fire? You decide.

Hey there! Sorry for the delayed response. I haven't been able to reply to a lotta comments here since I've been in the middle of last-minute con preps. 
San Japan starts from tomorrow (Friday) to Sunday at the Henry B Gonzales convention center again in downtown. Yes, you'll need a convention pass but I believe you can purchase passes for either the whole con event or just a specific day. You can find me at the F section (middle area). My table is at F7, at a corner.

D'awww, thanks! ^v^ Haha, I'd love to, but actually I already promised one of my friends in Texas to be the Genesis to their Cloud next time I come visit..... Though I gotta admit, I just rewatched AC, and Cloud's outfit makes my fingers itch...... Arrrg. [Who am I kidding, I just bought a Cloud wig on amazon...]

Take my words with a grain of salt, but I have a feeling that The Pixies' version of this song might be a little too punk and not enough melancholy. In my opinion I can imagine the version from the Suckerpunch! soundtrack, feat. Emily Browning, to be more fitting for him.
But hey, lovely picture! I really like the sense of realism.
