Well, folks...this is the last thing I'll be posting of The Griffin Chronicles for awhile. Let's just say I won't be "allowed" to show anymore work, but I'll be working on it everyday
This is the page where I made the decision to just blow up ALL my pages to 11X17 no matter if there is a lot or very little detail on the page. As you can see..there will be a LOT of detail a small intricate parts on this page and staying small with it just wont allow me to do that. You see, I can't work straight onto the 11X17 page anymore. I do 90% of my work small then blow it up to 11X17 and lightbox that bad-boy! I do that because I can look at the entire page as a whole...work out all my proportions acurately instead of having to step back all the time when I work straight to bristol...and my vanishing points are all still on my art table
Sometimes, I end up doing the page so tight and clean in my smaller layout format that I just scan it in at 400 dpi and send it to the inker. Most of the time...no ones the wiser.Lately, I am doing a lot more detail in my work ( folks like detail ) and it just doesn't work as well in a smaller format to do finishes that way. SIt looses a lot of important..and very cool detail in the process. So, I have decided to just abandon that and just blow every page I do up to 11X17.

BRILLIANT! I LOVE this page! There is so much goin on in there! The first thing that came to mind was Geof Darrow (forgive me if you don't like his style). I love that there is so much detail but it isn't so forced and packed too tight that it confuses the viewer. Well done!
I was goin to mention the forth panel and how it doesn't look as though the van has any weight to it. But I realized that it's not of him lifting it... rather it's in mid-toss. Awesome. The pacing is great and you just nailed the action. I'm no good at sequentials so I can't properly critique this. But it looks damn good to me.

Very nice layout and choice of camera angles. The only thing that caught my eye is that in panel two the figure is behind the van, and when you reach panel 4, he's suddenly on the side of the van. It's kinda inconsistant, but that's just something I've been trained to pick out. Other than that, it's a very nicely done page.
I'm curious. What are the sizes of your pages originally when you draw them? I started out doing the standard 10x15 and moved down to 8x12. I like working smaller becuase the bigger the page gets the more out of porportion things look on my pages. I was just wondering if there's another size down.

There's one thing i'm noticing, in panel 2 he landed behind the car, but some how he flipped it on the side, how did that happened?

I love this page, and that you included some background details about the process. That second panel is just amazing! Very nice sequence as The Griffin flips over the van. It took me a moment to figure out panel 3, but the colors could clarify it some. You might also consider pulling the camera back a bit so that we can see more of the van, maybe the bumper.
