Description
So I was playing FNAF with my brother, and he spotted this.I would've entirely missed it, but he stopped n' took a screenshot. Full credit goes to him for taking it! He let me use it, n' I love him.
Anyway, through all the rare FNAF screenshots I've seen by now in the fandom, I have to say that I don't remember seeing any screenshots having these posters. If there is one out there, then I've just not seen it or don't remember. I have terrible memory.
Anyway...I'm not sure as to what these posters represent. Just...added there for the sake of it, I guess. But, taking a closer look...the eyes are spaced like they would with the animatronic's. And they replace the posters having...well, "Party Time!" n' all that, where the animatronics originally were in. If they were to be compared with them and turn out to be even, then there's a chance it shows...somethin' in side of 'em? If that's the case, then it'd support the theory with the children's souls in the animatronics, but that's only if they are even with the other posters.
But, then again, it could just be the design from it. Or that screaming man from the popular painting. Honestly, I have no idea if Scott just added this in for shits n' giggles, and I guess we'll never know. Kinda' creepy, though.

I think this is proof of the Marionette being there.... That is, if he's the Crying Boy from the mini game in FNAF 2

I never thought of that. Pretty clever, I can admit.
You can also use it for a theory, of course.

Thanks. I've been looking for this screen shot to support the marionette theory. It seems that these posters don't get noticed as much, probably because everyone is flipping as fast of they can through the camera shots and don't notice it.

True. I'm more interested in the screenshots were the posters are removed and it just says "IT'S ME" on the wall. That's more of a rare one.

For that, I actually think it ties into the Marionette theory. If he was in the first game, he kept hidden.... Being bend, dark, and very good at sneaking, I could see this being possible easily. What's more, there's the posters. In the second game, it shows that Marionette put the kids into the costumes, and I bet he's the one putting the "It's Me" messages all over the place, maybe even is changing the posters and stuff.

Maybe.
Gotta' love theories. The Marionette's easy to bend, but I can't really see him being in the second game unless it were a very clever theory. Not that yours is bad at all, but I just feel the Marionette being in the first game a little odd to picture.
But it's still interesting, nonetheless.

Well, I think he's been there.... But has been hiding, maybe pulling things from out of sight. It's possible that when they got to the new location, he didn't fit in and was put into some kind of storage.

I guess that's possible. I do admire your thinking, though. It's the first I've heard the possibility of Marionette being in the first game.

AmethystMuse In reply to rainbowthefox [2014-11-19 05:30:57 +0000 UTC]
I heard the theory before, and if you think about it, it's possible due to one other factor: How rare it actually is to see Marionette approach. Supposedly, the music box keeps Marionette away (I don't have the game myself, so I can't test this.), so it's possible that when they put Marionette in storage, they gave him a music box, which may explain why we never see him attack. Supposedly he's in the Parts and Costume room, but I don't know if this really is the case.

Ah. That's a nice thought. I'm still not sure, though, because it's likely that the Marionette was never created when the first game was out. But it's a neat afterthought.

AmethystMuse In reply to rainbowthefox [2014-11-19 06:06:54 +0000 UTC]
Well, he might have been in the concept stage around that time. Granted, the posters could also be generic crying children, representing that the kids faced terror and pain and fear when they were being killed.

rainbowthefox In reply to AmethystMuse [2014-11-19 06:18:04 +0000 UTC]
That's the well-known theory, actually. I heard that Scott really had no storyline when he first made the game and just made it for the sake of it. I doubt he put much meaning behind it but is now trying to develop one with slight hints. Whether or not the Marionette is tied with it is debatable.

I wanna learn more about the events, characters, and their whereabouts both before and after the time frames of the two current games. I actually have been so hooked on it that I came up with a game Idea of my own that ends up being a game of wits and observation. Well... More like a deranged game of hide and seek....

I can't blame you. Scott must've not put a lot of thought into it when he first made it, but the fandom went wildfire over everything in it and started overthinking everything, trying to figure out the point of the characters and of their past. I can't really blame Scott for shoving a lot in there just for the sake of giving us more information because, after all, we're thirsty for it. I am, especially, figuring that I've been trapped enough in this fandom that I started writing fan fiction for it. And getting a bit known for doing so is something I need to keep in mind when trying to achieve accuracy in the backstories n' such.
Honestly, people liked Foxy because he was the character with the least bit of information on him. We all shoved a lot of theories for him and he became the most intriguing because he was the one that we knew much less about. Marionette is going down the same road, since we do not know why they are there and what's the purpose of them. Like Foxy, he seems to have a different strategy and you have to watch over him differently than of the other animatronics.
Having someone create ideas/theories/games/etc. just seems to be a norm within the fandom. But I'm a bit intrigued to hear yours, because you really went in depth with it.

Well, I'm mostly piggy backing on some theories that I've found, looking for the clues and what I've learned from some of my mom's medical things. I'm also heavily into the paranormal and supernatural, perticularlly ghosts. And I know a bit about how Technology works through the years, as well as some of the disadvantages to some of it. (Like the older face recognition technology wasn't as accurate as it is today). From what I've seen, Scott might be using real-life information to help create the world of the game. Nothing seems impossible, which is probably what intrigues me most. That, and theories are fun. You meet new people, exchange ideas which can either make your own theories or take them back to the drawing board. And that's what makes it fun. Most of the people I meet discussing theories have been very open-minded.
And I think you're right. We're curious by nature, and the less we know about something, the more we want to learn about it. ^^

Theories are pretty enjoyable. They are very debatable, and some are super clever. There are also ones that may be proven to be true, but it's fun to poke around at false ones, just to see where we can get. Open-minded people are the best to debate with, though.
True. That's what makes theories, right?

Scott always calls Golden Freddy a hallucination, and I always think of him as real cuz why would the player do that, and that the suit was used in the murders of the 5 children, which is why it's has no endoskeleton cuz its a costume for people. So I'm guessing that is too, cuz it'll also change to words being written on the wall saying "its me" and yeah I'm also going with the souls of the children possessing the animatronics. :3 Lolz I LOOOVE this game and it's mysteries!!

rainbowthefox In reply to Zyra01 [2014-10-31 01:02:06 +0000 UTC]
It's odd, though. If Golden Freddy is a hallucination, why is there a children's drawing of him in the second game's trailer? At least it appears to be Goldie, due to how lightly colored it is and how much it stands out from the new Freddy. It couldn't be a hallucination that way, but, again, I'm not Scott, so I don't know. And wow. I do, too! Really lovely game!

Yeah. There was a brighter picture on deviantart somewhere, of the hallway in the second trailer, and I saw Freddy but its was probably the new Freddy cuz its a little lighter. But yeah ._. And what I want to know is why is there a children's drawing of 2 or 3 kids "killing" the new animatronic foxy!!
Lolz if I met Scott I would go up to him shake him by the shoulders and saying over and over again "OMG YOUR A GENIOUS!!" xD Yayz! The second game is going to be rainbows and unicorns!!

I know, right!? It was really unexpected, and kind of...morbid, coming from children in drawings. Really freaky, but, yet, I remember it's a horror game, so...xD
Lol, I'd probably hide if I were to meet him, or just awkwardly be there. He is quite an incredible man, but I don't want to see him ending up like Victor Surge, whom had lost his credit long ago over his creation of the Slender Man. Stuff popular on the internet tends to lose its credibility quite quickly.
Ahaha, I doubt it. XD

rainbowthefox In reply to Zyra01 [2014-11-01 05:06:42 +0000 UTC]
True. XD
Victor Surge created Slenderman through a photo editing contest(or so I believe that's what the contest was about.) The character was based upon a myth, but had quickly spread like wildfire over the internet. Now, Slenderman's most popular for being a Creepypasta and of a myth, and is seen almost anywhere. I heard, at one point, of a movie starring the character. Now, very few people recognize Victor's name and become really surprised when they learn that he's the creator of Slenderman. A lot of people don't get the point that Slender is not real nor a myth, just the myth he's BASED ON can be real. If it is, then it wouldn't be the Slenderman. Victor's name isn't as known or famous as it should be, hence his character being so. I'm afraid of Scott ending up following after him because of how popular FNAF is getting on the internet. The game does have its copyright, but so does Slenderman for Victor, too. (Or so I believe.)
I wouldn't.

Oh. Yeah I never knew Victor was the creator, me sorry Victor!!, but I don't think that would happen to Scott seeing as people are crediting him in their fanatic and fanfics, plus the wiki, also the people that are able to talk to him through emails and stuff, it even has his name on the main menu screen :3 ,I think how Victor wasn't seen as the creator of slender is cuz he did it through a contest where there's only so many people that saw him as the creator, Lolz kinda hard to explain ^^'
:3 *throws open a box of rainbows and unicorns on you* XD hehe

Well, very few people credited Victor when the Slenderman was rising up on the Internet. It seemed a lot of people believed the photos in the contest were real, which was a big fail there. But then word passed on quickly, and Slenderman became quite the Internet star for awhile. Victor didn't get much credit through this, which would explain why there are many people who do not know who he is. At least Scott is recognized through the FNAF fandom, but it'll only be an amount of time before FNAF gets a bit more popular on here. But we'll see. Victor's dA page is Victor-Surge , if you wanted to know. :3

This is strange and unexplanitory. Why are they here? What is the purpose? Hm..the only answer to those questions I have is; Because Scott likes to place his 'Easter eggs' and all that crap in the game, and to freak people out? Hm...I'm not entirely sure.

rainbowthefox In reply to excalibastardd [2014-10-18 16:38:10 +0000 UTC]
Well, I can understand why Scott would add them in there just to scare us. But many are assuming that these "Easter eggs" actually have a purpose. I mean, why is there a Golden Freddy? Does it have a purpose?
The explanations are something we don't know, which is why we like to assume a lot from these things. No one can be sure about anything, though.

Some say the dark rims around the eyes mean that it's the animatronics crying, since they also have large, black circles seperatinf their eyes from the rest of their face.
