Ushas (อุษา ) is goddess of dawnwhile Ratri (ราตรี ) is the goddess of night and also Ushas's sister. They both are goddesses in Hinduism.
I use the uber-texture technic I've use in my previous work, SIMPLEXITY [link] , but I give more time to this one and quite please with the result. At first I think about making tutorial...but realize that the process is very random and very complicated!!!
Tools:
Watercolor on Paper, but overpowered by Photoshop!

The yellow goddess (Ushas?) Could use a slightly more prominent nose similar to that of her sister's. I also think her chin/neck might be a bit angled. (But I don't really know how to describe it without drawing it. x__x) I really love the designs but I think it would be cool if the goddess of dawn had some slightly lighter pink/yellow hues about her while the goddess of dusk had more husky blue and purple near her. That's just my personal opinion though and it looks very good as is.
I really like the lotus flower (?) and the braid. :3

I really like this one. Especially how you portrayed each of them, Ratri with night like skin and Ushas with golden light skin. :3 I think I like Ratri more, she seems more "playful". Will there be more of these?
